Btw the Ryzen deal i got for $6 turned out be 3900x, still looks promising, will do some checks here and there after Monday.

    Where? RN?

Nope, another provider on Mega Thread. Which one only TrK can confirm.

Oh kk. I was thinking when did I miss that $6 Ryzen plan here.

My Racknerd Ryzen is also 3900x at Los Angeles location. This one I am upgrading all the resource giveaways I won.

How many have you won and what's the specs now at, with the recurring price? All of this if you don't mind sharing.

This year, I won 1GB and 512gb ram I think. And 1 core. Currently at 4.5G RAM and 4 cores. Recurring around $32.

I wish I had upgraded the 7950x last year, but latency is high for us. That was at NewYork.

How high is the latency for you?
For me new york is 140 160ms and La is 220 280ms

It was around 300ms. LA is around 220ms for me as well. EU locations I get 140 to 160

Europe is the best for me as I'm getting 50 80 ms
What's the lowest asian vps latency you have?

EU is so far away man , we need more asia deals

Eu still works, untill there's asia that is

even SG is too far away need more servers in india go go go go go

SG connectivity to India is good. Pretty low pings compared to other countries.

Not much difference between Netherlands and sg for me just 1-2 ms. Spikes excluded ofcourse.

From where? For me its like around 100ms difference betewen SG and EU:. May be due to ISP difference as well?

Maybe or it's just me sitting in nearby city of ncr.

Me getting same avg pin for my hyd and sg nodes. It's fine I guess, and Netherlands with 1ms behind.

Pune node I have has 30 to 40ms ping for me. I think Bangalore one with DO was round 28ms.

Bangalore DO is prem network, was really good in my hands for two years or so. Dropped it due to bw limitations.

Yup, network is good. But pricing is too much for me.

BRB folks, dog just came to me asking for her bedtime walk.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of a dog you have. Just asking as a dog person.

The humane society (my dogs are always adopted or rescued) said she's a Plott Hound mixed which I believe there's some type of bully breed in here. There's restrictions on breeds around here which is why I believe the humane society only said what they did. Biggest baby/sweet heart. Only time she's growled is when we came accross a bear hiking in South Dakota and it was totally a protection thing. All other animals so far she's super interested in and is like "let me smell you!" and "let's be friends!" Makes me sad when a cat absolutely hate dogs because she will keep trying to make them her friend, even after being scratched (I've had to pull the cat claw "shells" out of her several times).

Oh man, I didn't ask for the photos due to privacy reasons, but, that is a beautiful kid right there. Somehow that face yells, "Let's be friends." Got nothing against cats, but, never been a cat person. Dog lover any time of the day. The feeling that comes over you when you pet a doggo in their jaw and top of their heads, is something only a dog-parent/dog-lover would understand.
And, thanks a lot to you for adopting, not shopping. That's a trend that needs some hype over here in India, where we have an abundance of Indie dogs (sometimes called stray dogs, not a fan of the term). Parenting one of these and must say, I am proud to be a parent to one of these. I wish more people in India adopted, rather than shopping.

Yeah, I'm one that feels like something is missing from life if I don't have a dog.

I wish more people adopted/rescued! I also wish a lot of people don't get one for Christmas/Holidays without fully commiting to keeping them their (human or dog) entire life! I can understand not wanting to rescue as sometimes they need a little work but no reason not to adopt as there's usually dogs of all ages, even puppies. Every rescue/adopted dog I've had has been extra loving and just wants to please once they settle in because they're just happy to have a loving home!

I totally understand what you mean. Did you get this boy/girl when he was a puppy?

Nope, she was about 2 years old and I've had her for a little over 3 years now. She was a stray that just recently had a litter when she was found. She seemed to have a good and fun personality so my mind was set on adopting her. I found out she was adopted and returned the prior week right before the 7 day window to get $ back. The excuses the person gave sounded like they thought they were going to get a fully trained dog. To me, I expect them not to be trained at all, not even house trained... That way when they have some training, it's something to be happy about and work on the rest! It did break my heart to hear that she was adopted and returned for something as stupid as taking stuff off the counter. Like, she was a stray, she knew a different life before having a home. I can seriously leave treats having off the counter and leave the house and they will still be there when I get back.

Pune node I have has 30 to 40ms ping for me. I think Bangalore one with DO was round 28ms.

Bangalore DO is prem network, was really good in my hands for two years or so. Dropped it due to bw limitations.

Digital Ocean has B'lor? How much were you paying for it?

Yup, was using it for some years. It was $5+GST when they started. But now they increased prices pretty much. And introduced normal and premium server type of differences.

Oh, that's unfair then. 100% increase in price is too much. Might change though when many providers start adopting B'lor.

Digital Ocean has B'lor? How much were you paying for it?

Don't remember it was basic plan i guess $10 monthly. I think they still have it.

That's not a bad price, given, B'lor still isn't mainstream.

They might have increased the price who knows, and it's still costly believe me.

Yah, xpress just said, it was $5. GIven that, it's pretty expensive.

  • Mumbai is not bad, 150 170 ms
I will try Hyderabad and see

  • Okay everyone. Will have my eye out for any news on the Chef. I will have to leave for a few hours now. See yall soon.

They hid the fact that they are not located in India only there IPs are. Was kinda lame when I found it. Also I am fine with EU the laws requiring logs in India is something I don't support. My ISP keeps my logs and any provider in India will keep your logs for atleast 12 months as per the ministry directive. I just no longer prefers indian servers.

    Where?

Me getting same avg pin for my hyd and sg nodes. It's fine I guess, and Netherlands with 1ms behind.

Pune node I have has 30 to 40ms ping for me. I think Bangalore one with DO was round 28ms.

Bangalore DO is prem network, was really good in my hands for two years or so. Dropped it due to bw limitations.

Digital Ocean has B'lor? How much were you paying for it?

Yup, was using it for some years. It was $5+GST when they started. But now they increased prices pretty much. And introduced normal and premium server type of differences.

There wasn't gst chargeable when they launched and suddenly there was a mail adding GST, that was hilarious ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Yup, after they start business operations, they had to add. I used Linode for many years, but after DO added India I moved to DO.

Now only node in India I have is with Oracle. Stopped DO and there was also another one cloudrino or something had one node with them as well but it was technically just geo located in India, servers were physically located in turkey and romania. Talk about irony.

๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ whats the use if the servers are not in our preferred location.

Thats just cheating. Yeah, EU laws are the best when it comes to data protection, or consumer protection. ๐Ÿ‘
