Nah, I don’t think so... Probably some random MJJ, not even a member of LET, silently snagging those deals like it’s their life's mission.

exactly this, this is what's taking all of the stock, not bots, MAYBE with some additional browser automation like some tampermonkey script to IF whmcs try to fill out the default fields etc but nothing more I don't think

I actually read a tutorial by an mjj - how to get VPS, fully automated using python and selenium (this particular one was for cloudcone). so yes, bots are being used. they create burner accounts and transfer the account for a hefty premium, by passing transfer fees if any.

Yes, but that’s coded for a specific provider. 90 % of deals here wasn’t expected. No body knew when they were coming, at what provider and if they were good.

I bet there are some template based bots for whmcs too, which might work semi automated.

WHMCS has a standard BE code I guess, almost everywhere, so yeah it's like a code once and adapt a bit for almost all the providers here.

Only exception is, those providers like @FameSystems @ProHosting24 @onidel etc.. (add if you know more) with custom panels, they will have to code separately for each one of those.

You’d still have to manually reload for a deal to determine what deal is nice or not and feed the link to the bot. Auto fill extension would probably be about as fast. Especially since fields differ on certain providers

If you had or didn’t have an account priorly probably makes a bigger difference

I guess bots can help with notifying or even ordering when something goes OOS and you think it’ll be back in stock shortly when the provider cancels orders though

I haven't bought any deals during this black friday,i am getting old and losing my passionate to such things😥

Ask @FAT32 how to keep passionate for organizing the event every year.

I don't know. But I guess @FAT32 must enjoy this event because such a community can gather up so many surprises and crazy deals, and much more respects from other community members.

Well it is complicated, at first I was thinking to organise AMA and surely people will ask this so I can answer but I am lazy.

Anyway the chase for low end deals started very long ago when I was still a poor student, I got to try out VM for less than $1/m. That one single VM has allowed me to try out a lot of different stuff and I also hosted a lot of fun stuff there with my friends.

Ever since then, I am grateful about how such community exists and as a thrifty person myself at that time, this is really eye opening. I am always a lurker on LowEnd community ever since I got cyber-bullied in the past in online community and IRC, so I no longer participate in any online communities.

But it all changed when @Nekki and others are still around and they made some of the best megathread. I had a lot of fun and that's when I decided to join the community (you can see my join date is during Black Friday). I started out a bit more careful and slowly I get used to the atmosphere. Of course with all the crazy deals by @VirMach it makes it even better.

As someone who likes to help others, making things happen, and organize events, I tried to compile lists and help with the formatting of deal posts, as a way to give back the community. I got rewarded with the tag "Deal Compiler Extraordinaire" by @trewq (Past admin), and after being active in the community for a while I became a Mod and Admin subsequently.

I don't want the legacy to die and want to try out some innovative ideas, that's when I planned for an organised flash sale. Not only it would ensure a constant stream of deals, I can also try to negotiate with providers beforehand. I studied what they offered before recommending deals that would be attractive, and some of the deals you see this few days actually has gone through quite a bit of negotiation to even make it happens.

So ya... it is a mix of wanting to give back, doesn't want the legacy to die, and among other things I want to make something successful. There's definitely some hiccups but over the years I learned a lot. I would say this community has helped me a lot, at least it changed me on the psychological areas where I would never expect. I am more outgoing than I was in the past, and I have become more confidence nowadays.

I appreciate all the appreciation posts toward me, but I have to say thanks again to everyone of you that makes me who I am today.

(Never expected to type so much but it is midnight here and getting a bit emotional)

Yeah, it's also midnight in China. It struck me how time flies—back in 2021, when I first joined LowEndTalk, I was searching for tiny VPSes to set up proxies and bypass the GFW. I was so passionate back then, learning a lot from this community, witnessing some dramas, and interacting with impressive members like you, @Nekki , and @dahartigan . Over time, I noticed some people had left, like @VirMach (though they closed my account for violating their TOS).

As the years passed, life caught up with me—studying hard, working, and making money for a better future. Somewhere along the way, I realized I was losing the passion I once had for life. I guess that's how life is—time wears us down and smooths out our fire.

Anyway, it's great to see you're still here.RESPECT.

because I couldn't log in (despite registering at checkout), I somehow managed to buy this accidentally twice (2 different server locations)

then I registered again with the same email (not through the checkout menu) and now I have 3 different usernames with the same email.

and each of my orders is connected to a different username (even though this is 1 email)
    order #9429470

do I have to make a ticket?
