Any alternative providers with similar scaling capabilities?

A kind of really harsh anti-BF move. "pay more, get much less traffic".
Congrats.
60TB -> 8TB of bandwidth for a $299/mo server? lol...that's insane.
their cloud console has been unreachable/unreliable over the past day for me. Maybe lots of folks are migrating out like I am planning to do with my ~12 VPSes.
they just killed themselves
Look on the bright side. Aren't you glad they announced this today, and not after Monday when all the BF/CM specials run out?
The reasoning is that 20 TB excess traffic was more expensive than another cloud server with 20 TB traffic.
And this happened: https://www.eurojust.europa.eu/news/crackdown-illegal-streaming-network-22-million-users-worldwide
if you go for clouvider's black friday double bandwidth you get 10TB... there's netcup also
I can't be bothered to check/verify but I'm sure that my netcup VDS is much cheaper and certainly not worse.
But if Hetzner's intention was "how to make customers walk away?" I guess it'll turn out to be a success ...
Do you really compare world class giant with something with a “cup” in their domain name? Titans like hetz is comparable to ovh or aws lightsale.
Is bandwidth that much more expensive in US compared to Germany?
Me not care, me care about reliability and bang per buck.
