1 Year Review 1gservers
Overall I'm super happy with all the service I've gotten from @1gservers and I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for dedicated servers! Their pricing is beautiful, their hardware and network are powerful, the support is good, reliability is on point.
They have a decent selection of servers available so I know I can get just what I need in the future, and they have an awesome level of customization available during the checkout. I love that I get the benefits of a premium facility like PhoenixNAP, without the negatives of dealing with them directly.
I migrated away from ovhcloud, so the bar was set really low to begin with, but 1gservers really impressed me in every way and I'm so happy I chose to go with them. I'm looking forward to years of continued growth with them ![]()
Onboarding/Setup
Their control panel is very simple and easy to use. Provision time was amazing for all servers, I think the longest I waited for one was slightly under 24 hours as they were waiting on some drives or something, 6 out of 7 servers were provisioned within a few hours, really quick compared to what I was used to from other providers.
Hardware
Out of 7 servers leased I got brand new or near-new NVMe drives on all except one, one server had heavy usage on 1 drive (like 30% wear) but the other drive on that machine was new. 5 out of 7 servers provisioned with expected hardware. 1 of 7 was provisioned with 100GB of ram missing, 1 of 7 was provisioned with the wrong CPU (ordered a E5-2690 v4, received a E5-2699 v3), I didn't raise a ticket about this issue since it was a fair replacement - not worth complaining about.
Network
The network has been reliable throughout my usage. I haven't experienced any major downtime or noticeable latency issues (unlike my previous providers who often had "upstream provider" issues). Connections have been stable, and data transfer speeds have met expectations for high-traffic dynamic website workloads. Overall the network performance has been solid and trouble-free.
Reliability
I'm very pleased with the reliability. Zero hardware faults in a year is a blessing compared to my previous provider. There was a network issue on May 15 that lasted for 5 minutes, it affected 2 of my servers and the 1gservers website/portal, I think a router must have been rebooted or something because it was so short (support confirmed it was a network issue, but no specific details).
Support
I've only needed to put 3 tickets, so the experience here is limited. However, it was a good experience each time. The first ticket was for missing hardware/ram, they responded to my ticket within 5 minutes and the issue was resolved within total 90 minutes. The 2nd ticket was asking them to add raid to a new server I purchased because I forgot to add it during checkout, they responded in 35 minutes and confirmed adding raid. The 3rd ticket was about the minor network outage, they responded within 34 minutes to say they'd look into it, then an hour later came back to give generic explanation and confirmation that it was fixed - less transparency than I'd hope, but acceptable... Overall the support seemed very competent and fast. Coming off ovhcloud it's like night and day difference in getting a response to a ticket.
