    Yes. For some reason providers lost their way about low end.

    Nowadays NVMe and SSD are considered low-end by providers. I can't stop wondering what happened to HDDs? I want to see offers with HDDs, because these are cheaper. I don't need no high-end speed.

    For an upcoming hobby project I need basically $7 vps spread around the world even if they have very lil spinning drive space, just a gig of ram or even half. Indeed for a lot of use cases ssd or nvme are not necessary but the price difference between them is diminishing, so i think one day we might just see spinning drive completely go extinct.

Ofc I expect the price to raise but I just don't see long term deals in this thread. I'm looking for servers with fast response TTFB that's what I care for. I hate to migrate when I chose a provider.     I guess at the end of the day, a few extra dollars on the drive don't make that big a difference considering all of the recurring costs of hosting.
