    I believe there was a way to make your VPS login secure with FIDO you can find the tuts online, but they just don't work with any FIDO token need yubico or something better..

    I use it, a fido with yubi lol (id_ed25519_sk_rk) the sk in that is security key

    Plus the fail2ban sensitive block the IP perma after 3 failed logins. :fire:

    Sounds nice, i use with play sha keys, need to do some changes for yubico tokens as almost everywhere i have old FIDO tokens.

    oh yeah, I mean just right after getting the vps.
    1. create a different user
    2. disable remote root ssh
    3. force ssh keys only

    You're more the secure while you actually set it up/etc. and can eventually remove the ssh key only login.
