Is this good or bad for an SSD?

    Intel 480 drive (SSDSC2BB480G6)? 1917981 x 32 then 2x /1024 = 58.5321350098 TB written
has 275 TBW endurance. So you are fine.

I can't math, didn't had my morning coffee yet so... what is "then 2x /1024" part?

In this example: 1917981 x 32 (to get the MB written) then divide that number by /1024 to get GB, one again divide by /1024 to get TB.

Thanks for explaining kindly, I was multiplying it by 2 then dividing to 1024 :(

edit: My SSDSC2KB960G8 has 385 TB data written and second one has 450 TB data written. Does 275 TBW endurance applies to 900 GB size disks also?

Edit 2: After some googling endurance of SSDSC2KB960G8 is 3500 TBW.

Did you seriously have any hope for a different answer?

Neither in the another locations as well? This is pretty sad

no, what they said to you?

It seems my 2nd order will be refunded as well, according to the support.
I've made the question about ordering in the Europe. They can confirm me that it is a really low stock.

The servers are delivered to those who order the fastest and we are aware that customers use bots to order them but we have no legal way to protect ourselves from this.

No need to look at all of this, the important value is this:
    233 Media_Wearout_Indicator 0x0032 099

Here, the disk wear is only 1%.

Thanks Tuna, mine are 95 and 96 so not bad at all. I will keep loving my KS-LE-1 server then.

Of course, I moved to KS-LE-E - 4x2tb and 64gig ram. I will miss the 10G down, but, I am saving a few bucks and more ram...

    No

    Now now.
You don't need to be so direct.

Let everyone have their moment. What if OVH pulls it off?

Yes. I was able to get one in the beginning of the sale. In Bhs.

Ah ok, thanks for your reply. I am trying to get a KS-LE-E in Europe, but it seems like to be the "new KS-A"

    Give it sometime.

This forum is a place for folks to buy as much possible and liquidate it in a couple weeks.

This is if ovh doesn't restock. I think they might. If not now during Christmas.

Even I could not get a KS-LE-B... even though I tried getting one early.

Hmm. I think they may during Christmas?

  • I’ve seen a ton of complaints here about scalpers grabbing up all these servers, but in reality I see most reselling here to be very much at or near cost when people settle in and decide what they want to keep vs let go of.

With that being said, is there another ‘place’ where more reselling occurs? If so would someone mind dropping a link in my DMs?

(I wouldn’t mind overpaying a little bit for a KS-LE-E in BHS or KS-LE-B in GRA for something I will use for years)

Maybe...I mean they haven't removed it from the page despite it supposed to be ending on the 19th November, never know with OVH

Don't take me wrong, but, I mentioned earlier also, this behavior - "I wouldn't mind overpaying" is something which starts the cycle to an extent in the first place.

But, then, do not blame entirely on the scalpers if legit users do not get their hands on stuff they really want.

Heck, I was lucky to get into the orders early on, but, not with KS-LE-B. Still scouting around for that.

PS: I am not against that. I have done it a couple times in past many moons ago. Just pointing out the fact.

Yeah most people buy what they need, plus a little extra in case of lottery, and transfer "at cost" what they decide not to keep.

I don't think there are "scalpers" like there were for instance when GPU mining crypto was huge and people were buying dozen of NVIDIA cards to resell on ebay for 3x the price.

Also LowEndTalk users are not the only buyers of Kimsufi servers, there are many who don't even chat on forums, but buy stuff. There is the "seedbox" crew for instance.

And then there are the chinese websites, such as nodeseek.com.

I’m more curious as to if there is some secret black market OVH scalper store and what they have then interested in actually buying from them. Again I’ve seen lots of scalper hate but only like 2 actual scalpers here on LET.

Id love to know them 2 scalpers if you dont mind sharing them over DM please.

I am not aware of a secret black market. But, I do know trading happens in all popular forums, many from Asia.

at the end, its demand and supply and FOMO

There is for sure, Nodeseek sold a KS-A for 200€ premium.
However, since most of them used fake billing addresses, there should be some stock available soon.

The last post on Nodeseek was nuts, a Bank does a 120€ promo for new accounts.
And it basically said "Use google maps to get a random address"

These people at Nodeseek, they probably would sell your grandma for 1000$ if they could.
