Seems the storage box is much stable now. o:)

Probably need 1-2 more weeks before performance is restored, right now it takes me 10s to open a 1kb text file xD

heh? I can watch videos from the storage from this week.

  • @labze i purchased a storage box, does the bandwidth usage limit reset every month?

Do you have the option of paying quarterly or half-yearly?

Can you also put money on account then topup later?

Downloading 2 files a 10mb just took 30 sec to start but when it started, the download was instantly finished Xd

Give @labze some time. Problems with the new server.

I'll allow myself to blame Blesta for the poorly coded DirectAdmin module. Manually re-creating and activating all these orders is a pain in the ass, while there is also a larger than normal amount of support requests.

Feel free to open a ticket and it can be expedited.

I don't see any ticket with 7+ days on it. Can you please send me a ticket number?

It is just monthly and yearly for now.

You can top up account credits from the billing dashboard in the invoices overview. There is a "Make payment" button that allows you to enter any amount you want added.

@labze – I’m interested in purchasing the 1TB storage box. Could you please clarify if the price will remain fixed annually if I buy it now, or is there a possibility that it could change next year? Essentially, I’m wondering if the price will be locked in for the duration of the subscription.

The prices are recurring. I can't promise that it will be the same price forever as that will also depend on if the cost I pay will remain fixed. As most people know, prices on pretty much everything is increasing and will continue to do so sadly. However, there is enough room in these offers to eat some cost increases so it wouldn't be passed on to clients.

I'd say the price will likely be recurring for at least 2-3 years. I haven't increased the prices on any recurring offer yet, and I will be very sad the day I have to do this.

  • Hi @labze

Can the data in the storage box be accessed via HTTP? Or can I make it a static space?

  • @labze - Order #6749027bb8303, Could you please make it active. Thanks!

It’s just plain old webhosting, so yes.

Plain static HTTP/HTTPS and/or cgi-bin, yes. You just need to set up your domain following the instructions. It'll be challenging (but still doable) if you want to run your own arbitrary external facing services, as they bwrap the ssh session and clean up any background processes. For that you need real VPS (AlphaVPS has a great deal running).

You don't have the permission to ping any hosts, so yabs will be missing latency and bandwidth info.

  • Will there be more stock @labze ?

  • DA Storage Deals still on stock? accepting?

If it's available to order it's in stock. The site will tell you if it's sold out.

  • @labze Got one. Ty.

  • Any chance DE-EPYC-Storage 1 TB will be restocked or is it a done deal? If it’s a done deal then I won’t keep checking. Thanks!

  • So the ftp1 node seems to come to usability:

    ~$ time dd if=/dev/urandom of=lol2 bs=1M count=1000
    1000+0 records in
    1000+0 records out
    1048576000 bytes (1.0 GB, 1000 MiB) copied, 11.3411 s, 92.5 MB/s

    real 0m11.343s
    user 0m0.005s
    sys 0m4.995s

Now 1GB is not much and the above is not a real-world indication test, but I'm also able to open and save files again on the box 💪

rclone mount from some VPS gets me close to 100MB/s read speeds, scp to some other VPS gets at least 45MB/s write speed (from some random tests), so I can't complain. Works great!

  • has anyone managed to write via sshfs? i got it to mount but couldn't write to it.

Not sure if it's the case, but you can try uncommenting user_allow_other in /etc/fuse.conf.
