Any host advertising "censorship resistance" that wants to stay in business will need to charge higher prices, either to cover legal protections, and/or to create a barrier to entry for would-be troublemaking customers. Do you have specific providers in mind?

I don't primarily want to be able to say things, rather, when there's a US election going on, pandemic or war, I want to be able to access information freely to protect myself.
The US is still the best country for actual freedom of speech.
Of course, some activist ISPs may cry about it but by law, you can saw almost anything in the US that would be prohibited in many of these Nordic countries.
I need a better way of testing things. I notice domain seizures and searches not showing results on Google, but I'd guess that isn't actually going to change by connecting from a different country?
I'd like to give some specific examples, but I don't want to bait any taboo keywords.

Not a lot of variation at the state level, since the first amendment is part of the federal constitution. At that point, it's just a matter of target audience based on geolocation.
Anyhow, @MannDude already commented, but I strongly recommend his services if free speech, privacy, and quality are your thing. He has Washington, Pennsylvania, Kansas City, and Texas, though some of the plans in certain locations might not be available atm.
