    why not just own the hardware and host in the basement.

    My isp wants to charge me $100 for a dedicated IP :)

    I just checked again, and looks like they got better deals now, but you have to be a business... and still, my line is not eligible for 1gbps so renting a vps is way more cost efficient

    Definitely true. It's impossible to capture anything without bias since you could have just as easily pointed the camera the other direction.

    Suggestion, don't self host the mail, it's pain, get mxroute instead.
