    Also, I know this is a recurrent question and can find various resources online, but would really love some input from actual users.

    Nginx vs OLS considering I wanna do everything from scratch not use a pre-made Panel. This is what I will need apart front the engine: MariaDB, PHP, email server. Priority is lower RAM and CPU usage, easier caching mechanism for a custom website.

    Thoughts? Any tutorials for beginners would also be helpful.

    Nginx till the grave, email server is fine but would you need AV and spam filter as well? If yes forger the lower ram footprint. For caching redis and memcached are the only way for me.

    I haven't used OLS, but I don't really have any complaints using nginx for the (relatively simple) php stuff I've done.
