Destination Host Unreachable ? Is it normal for VPS?

Hi
I Just use MassiveGrid's VPS. It's network status from ping is always ->Destination Host Unreachable . In an hour it happen 4-5 times.
as in picture

compare with my other vps , it's not happen this all days.

I can use vps normally. No problem now. ssh may close connection but a little time.

Can you tell me that this thing is unnormal or not?

Thank

  • How many times have you contacted support in reference to this issue?

  • You get what you pay for in this case. I think the general consensus is that the MG boxes were a bit…oversold. There have been performance and networking issues that have been highlighted often in the main thread that the provider has been working to sort out. Probably follow there for updates.

  • show the same error if you edit /etc/resolv.conf and use google dns 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4?

what does dns have to do?

    Wut?

It's either his nic (dropping link) or something upstream (routing issue).

staff have solve this problem a lot, First my ssh connection always lost many time. After they solve , it better a lot. Connection lost is not often.

I contact him. and tell him that other vps 's not happen this issue. But seem he 's not see this is a serious problem.

I don't have performance issue. It's good too.
I think that It's network problem , But he told me that it's involve with resource too.
But my other VPS have lower spec than him , When ping it's no any loss.

So do you thing this is only network problem or not?

Can I edit this file? it will make my system don't work?
If I can edit , I must reboot vps or not.
