    it’s a broad question

  • Well on top of limits they should also restrict server transfers between customers. Icing on the cake...

I think OVH will put forth a good faith effort to surprise a few more of us before this is all said and done.

I got a SYS-1, the SYS-LE-2 has weaker multi-core but slightly better single core - personally i prefer more cores. The extra disk space would be nice but realistically, im probably not going to exceed the 480GB in the SYS-1.

SYS-LE-1 would be nice, but unfortunately only 32GB Ram. I need at least 64GB.

    I said SYS-1, not LE ;;)

That's why you have a bot.
I don't bother either checking my KS-A, most of the time.

  • Anyone else still have bots running? (Just in case)

  • Thanks lads, now I can sleep in peace, knowing that your bots will not leave any stocks for other customers. Cheers.

Not anymore on mine, I'm just waiting if my KS-A will be delivered.

  • Does it mean that they will deliver Nov 19 orders?

I think most bots have been turned off at this point. And if OVH is implementing new restrictions to limit orders per account then these next few weeks might be the best time to be on high alert.

Also something that most people aren't discussing is how many servers were sold on Black Friday/Cyber Monday in 2022/2023 with 1-2 yr commitment discounts? Of those how many are going to be retired over the next week or so because the price will be jumping? I just retired 2 servers for that exact reason, one of which can be immediately and automatically turned around and delivered to someone waiting on a pending KS-LE-D order.

Fucking scalpers and resellers buying hundreds of these and then dreaming of riches cause of the insane price value for reselling. I just want one like the rest of the people here.

I suggest for @OVH_APAC to add account limit for amount of KS-A offers. If anyone ordered more than 1-2, return them back to stock for us normal people.

Fuck all resellers taking advantage of this and swapping out their more expensive server/current infra to fuck over their VPS customers with downgrades.

-2128 stock tells you everything you need to know about the greedy resellers here.

Wishes granted at last ! 🙏

Maybe @OVH_APAC can give us a count of how many carts have currently a KS-A added.

  • Okay. Just checked the history books.

It appears that Kimsufi used to have a hard server per customer limit of 3 for special products before. At least it was discussed / mentioned - even on LEB - when the the Atom 2GB (2,99€) was released. Pretty sure that limit only applied to the 2GB - box, just like the other rules mentioned. Kimsufi is a 'big' brand now, limiting to two servers (overall) would be insane. (French eh?)

    Quote from the Atom details:

Disponibilité sous réserve de la validation de votre commande et dans la limite des stocks disponibles.
Usage : Serveur personnel. Non autorisé pour la revente. Limité à 3 serveurs par personne physique ou morale.
Disponible uniquement pour les habitants de l’Union Européenne.

    Which means:

Availability subject to order validation and while stocks last.

Usage: Personal server. Not authorized for resale. Limited to 3 servers per individual or legal entity.

Available only for residents of the European Union.

So my guesstimate is that the limit will be imposed on the KS-A / possibly other promotional servers. Might also fight off some of those lottery - attempts, which is nice to see.

with the setup fee I think that OVH not realy interested in to reduce lottery tries. With their automation the mistakes are not random, I think that it motivates users to spend more and more and pay the setup fee. And because 14-day moneyback only available in EU, and the button seems only available in France, low amount of users uses it to get back the money, others simply transfer the server so OVH can keep the money and possible service will not canceled.

So I think the limit will only applied for KS-A models, and other servers will require fast reaction time or a well configured bot in the future.
