    It seems like we watch the same thing, but don’t see the same thing. Where on their feature list do you see ping monitoring?

    Maybe it exists, but I'm almost sure it's not mentioned on their feature list, nor does screenshot reflect that.
    I may be wrong, but what I see here is basically just a website and services related to that uptime monitor, not a server uptime monitor, so it's more or less useless for most of us.

    i found this: https://pingify.com/#pricing 49$ for lifetime for unlimited monitors.

    Anyone know if pingify is even good?

    And do they even support simple ping or port monitoring? I can't see it in "Pingify supports HTTP and Keyword checks" features description https://pingify.com/#features

    Ping should be supported since its on their feature list and there are screenshots available.

    I do mot find any company info about them. A very high of risk of flop with those “life time deals”. Avoid.

    From what I see, it's limited to just website services monitoring anyway, not on par with the server monitors we're used to. We're not exactly the target group they're aiming for.

    Yeah, it's only website monitoring. Nothing special we couldn't do by ourselves with uptimekuma or similar tools.

  • I don't think so :)

    https://66uptime.com/docs/

    Requirements
    Ensure your server meets the specified requirements prior to installation or purchase.

    PHP PHP 8.0 - 8.3
    Extensions cURL, OpenSSL, mbstring, MySQLi
    Database MySQL 5.7.3+ or MariaDB equivalent
    Server Apache or Nginx

    Nothing like UptimeRobot, UptimeKuma, etc., with simple uptime ping and/or port monitoring, without the need to do anything on the monitored server side.
    For anything more complex, New Relic has been free for quite some time now.

    It’s a tough sell with free edition still working and needing a subscription and it recurring at full price, but https://www.macrium.com/products/home#buy-reflect-x-home (40% off)

    (I’m sticking with free, differential backups over 2.5ge ingested into Borg are fast and small enough for my needs)

    I just can not find a use case for it that I can't do for free. I must be missing something. What can it do that youtube-dl can not do for free (with it's UI installed)?

    The only thing that seems to be different is, support for many sites beyond YT

    Maybe LET is not the right place but many people want to have a "working out of the box" solution with a usable gui instead of needing to install some tools and configure them. Afaik xgetter supports more sites

    Is there a list of supported sites in detail? In the main sites, very few are mentioned, mainly YT and tiktok. youtube-dl can also download other sites. In any case, I went ahead and bought it just in case as it is very cheap. Thank you :smiley:

    Telegram video is one such example
    But I use python 4-line code for that

    message = await client.get_messages(chat_username, ids=message_id)

    # Check if the message contains media
    if message.media:
       # Download the media
       file_path = await client.download_media(message, save_path)
       print(f"Media downloaded to: {file_path}")
    else:
       print("No media found in the specified message.")
