The same KS-A, there's only one left.
If a client says they need their IP to not change, then it cannot change.
There are many cases where DNS isn't an option, such as when software doesn't support it for certain things, such as whitelists, favorites, or caches of historical connections.
In serious secure environments, DNS may not even be allowed for whitelisting, as it is susceptible to DNS-hijacking.
There are also situations where a large number of third parties have whitelisted IPs for security reasons, and it's not feasible to get all of them to update their whitelists to avoid disruptions to services.
Thats a rough situation, is there nothing OVH can do to help? (lol)
But seriously, is there no alternative way?
https://corporate.ovhcloud.com/en/newsroom/news/fy2024-annual-results/
This the annual report of FY2024 which already ended.
Of course there is some reporting every three months anyway. Rather unimportant to the annual one though and that next one is far away now.
Next week in the Financial Times: OVH, a publicly traded company, fakes an API bug in order to collect billions of euro from script kiddies just in time for the shareholder’s annual meeting. Capitains of industry on an internet forum find out. CEO is forced to apologise and builds 10000 5€ servers himself to appease the angry customers.
I'd guess BHS gets at least a restock long after EU DCs or BHS is not that loved by customers. APAC and SYD seems just overpriced, they would be gone in seconds too, if cheap.
I believe you are talking for yourself right? Since nor did i ordered any servers from them nor did i used scripts. But based on your replies on this thread the script kiddie are you.
I mean, I knew most of that, but with enough time everything can be changed. If you have clients as a reseller then that's more difficult, sure, and if they pay gladly then you're just a middleman and fortunately it doesn't affect you directly (well, your margin could be higher...).
I first asked them something like 5 years ago and tried again last year. Even tried to get them to escalate my ticket to someone higher up last year, but they simply refuse to do anything.
I've had many servers with OVH for over 10 years, but these days I avoid them whenever possible, because they simply don't give a shit about their clients. They are too big to care.
Damn, I had sys-le-3 picked out, was going to make the payment, then got a call on Teams. 45 minutes later after the meeting, it was sold out. Do they restock these ever or is "Soon Available" a misnomer?
Of course i'm including myself when i make a joke about this thread lol
"Soon Available" is just the character string set for "Out of stock" status. They'll restock if someone cancels theirs or a new server goes online, but don't expect a restock in the hundreds if it happens.
I am running out of salt at some point.
Can we do a kickstarter please?
Why don't we start a GoFundMe for OVH to buy some i7-6700Ks off eBay?!
Where to colocate for $5 ?
I think they have enough, its just like its not hitting the floor yet.
OVH doesn't need a kickstarter just some more baguettes.
Build your self a hydro dam and a DC with cargo containers like in SBG with wooden flooring.
Should be cheap enough.
I'll send a basket of baguettes from LET to HQ tomorrow...
Send them the finest.
A-ha!
Woke up anndddddddd……….
No more news on my other KS-A orders. Yesterday may have been a one off after all
That sucks..no point keeping just the one, transfer it to me

I hope some good news comes in the next few days
Maybe they are trying to honor at least 1 order per account so they have more to fulfill other people's orders
I think for offers which they know they will sell out of instantly should be placed on a lotto system. One order per account, orders filled at random. That would be great.
As for what's actually happening I don't think that's the case. I think someone probably had this KS-A.. it got terminated for breaking TOS or something (because no one in their right mind would cancel or forget to pay for it), and then it was randomly assigned to my order number out of sheer luck.
Looks like they removed the le-a/b/c/d/e servers.
Oh no!
