    yeah, I didn't actually break it though I have probably taken some life away from it. I forget how many keypress a thinkpad keyboard is rated for though it's a T series so it's super easy to replace.

    Thinkpads are usually sturdy. Is it an older one though. Those were as sturdy as the Nokia 3310. Newer Thinkpads aren't that strong, from what I've heard.

    They're still better than most but sadly, they went the route of basically everything soldered except the nvme. I've only had to replace the keyboard when a bunch of snow fell on it (was outside since it was a nice day) and a couple of keys stopped working

    Even memory modules come pre-soldered on ThinkPads now? Is that what you are saying?

    That's too cheap of Lenovo to destroy something considered a basic necessity. The sturdy build and upgradability made ThinkPads, ThinkPads. Slowly, these big companies seem to be taking everything we love, away. Ig, Asus started the trend of soldered RAMs on low-mid-end laptops, and then, everyone started copying it blindly. Feel bad for the new MSI Modern laptops that have pre-soldered RAM with no additional slots.

    Yeah, I hope framework eventually comes out with a trackpoint like nub and buttons, I would fully switch to them. I've tried using laptops without it and I can't do it, I had to buy the trackpoint ii keyboard for my work laptop.

    Isn't framework stuff CADs freely out there? Someone could always create one and sell it. (I could be very wrong on this)

    Yeah, someone who is smarter/knows that type of stuff (I don't). I would totally buy it if someone did (I know I'm not that only one that wants a trackpoint option on them)

    Exactly what I was saying. Also, try browsing Chinese websites. Pretty sure, someone in China somewhere, working out of a basement has this.

    If someone makes trackpoint with usb-c, you could just be lazy and putty that to the keyboard. Real DIY would drill a hole (if you find room), glue it, and wire the usb-c to one of your ports

    Well, would it be somehow possible to strip the USB cable and have a keyboard strip for motherboard instead which could be used by directly plugging into the motherboard? Just throwing any ideas that popup. Not even sure it's possible.

    guess it would be possible to hardwire power to it and crack the receiver open and install it inside somewhere.

    It should be. Couldn't find a converter. Guess it has to be DIY.

    All the Ryzen VPSes have NVMe, iirc. So, it should make a huge difference in performance compared to the Intel E4 and E5 I am used to.

    Is it the same material as last year?

    The brand of shirt is the same, though these are screened. Also the large part of the design is in the front now. Personally I like the screened shirts more too!

    I personally liked the earlier design, in terms of the small logo being around the pocket area in the front and the larger one on the back. But, you were losing a lot of real estate on the front. The chef idea might help here.
