Arc browser is somewhat weird. (coming from a beta tester who tested the browser for mac) Why isn't there a better rendering engine, like way faster than we have for years.

Is that the one that requires windows 11? My PC is too old for that trendy browser. It looks cool though

not so cool, already used too many chromium based browser apart from UI everything is same, it's just dressing up to present it as different. Edge does it too, so every other chromium based browser.

I've seen a lot of hype around it from Mac users, and when they released it for Windows, the excitement increased even more. That's all I know about it. What do you currently use?

Firefox + chrome on windows and safari + opera gx on mac, gnome web + firefox on linux. Firefox + chrome on android. Oh and Safari + opera gx on iphone.

I haven't used opera for years, you got me curious I'm downloading it now!

I was using opera for a while but I got tired of the ads, something on their default landing. I cant really remember now at this point. I've recently switched to brave and its been good. I did enable the ads for their "crypto" currency. No idea what balance im at or if its even worth anything...
It seems you just need to jump browsers every once in a while as one of them starts to fill with bloat. I've gone from Firefox->Opera->Opera GX->Brave

I appreciate Brave's features, but I don't block ads, which is why it's not my favorite browser. People put in a lot of effort to earn those small AdSense profits, and we enjoy their content from the comfort of our sofas without giving anything back in return. It's just not morally ethical to me.

not always, most of time one needs adblock is cause there are disruptive ads ruining the experience. And instead of a browser based adblock using a dns based one is great with whitelisting googleads, media, and some other non disruptive ones.

    which one do you use?

True. Some websites are annoying on face. Like we have to close non stop popups, and search content between ads.

Thats why i think adblock is really needed for some use case.

@dustinc do you have DirectAdmin Reseller Hosting too?

Hi @taalz -- Currently, we offer cPanel/WHM based reseller hosting. We've found that cPanel/WHM has been the go-to control panel that end-users are most familiar with, helping our resellers convert better and scale their business with ease.

That being said, we're always open to expanding our product offerings based on community feedback :)

DirectAdmin, the last time I tried it was rough around the edges. Guess, not a lot has changed.

I feel like DirectAdmin has potential, but overall it seems quite dead in the marketplace.

It doesn't look like anymore, with current DA system it's really a great choice if you are fed up with user based pricing the cPanel introduced. cPanel is just newbie friendly nothing more nothing less.

on serious note, anyone got that DA storage deal from hostbrr? need reviews honestly.

Have that 500gb storage box. At the moment it's choked from other users uploading and running yabs. But will probably improve over time.

really? like really choked, bandwidth is messed up IOPS as well?

Both bandwidth and IOPS have taken a hit. The provider mentioned they have made some changes and optimizations, should improve gradually.

If improved let me know that results it might not be that late to grab one. btw the storage is dedicated right? right?

Will keep you posted. It's a shared server with each user with their own home directory.

hmm sounds interesting only thing concerning now is storage being filled up quickly. Can you share server stats to see how much storage does it actually have.

I think one post in there said it had 240 TB

Adguard hosted on a small VPS. Working great without any issues.

    have you tried nextDNS?

True. Some websites are annoying on face. Like we have to close non stop popups, and search content between ads.

Thats why i think adblock is really needed for some use case.

Yup, ads are ok as long as they are not annoying. But there are many use cases for adblock.

Totally agree. Now the ad agencies are getting craftier day by day, there are many times it seems impossible to block some disruptive ads.

Youtube. Mother of all ad annoyance.

I had written an opera plugin at one point that combed through my outlook and pruned out "fake" emails that was actually microsoft injecting ads via what looked like emails. Those were annoying. When they started doing that I clicked them too many times. The Adblock I used wasnt able to remove those. I also had one that pruned out reddit ads as well. It would just loop and prune the elements anytime they appeared. At one point it stopped working in outlook. Wonder if they changed some keys or if its embdded into something else now
