flipping the script on Black Friday - looking to buy cheap VPS servers from reputable providers

There has been a lot of turmoil and drama lately, even more than usual. So instead of waiting for Black Friday deals to come around I figured I'd just make an offer and see which providers are willing to sell it to me.
You could dig through my posting history but I'll save you the time and give you a brief run down of the type of customer you would be selling to. I'm pretty technical so I won't submit tickets asking for help, I tend to just figure out a solution on my own or ask the community. The only tickets I'll ever submit are when there are actual problems with the core service you sold me. I don't do anything illegal so you won't have to worry about getting any abuse complaints because of me. Instead of buying larger servers and putting all of my eggs in one [or two] baskets I have found that getting a bunch of smaller, cheaper servers with many different providers is a better approach for my particular use case. That means that most of the time the majority of my servers are pretty much idle so I make a good neighbor for the other customers on your server. I do compile code and other things that tend to use available CPU from time to time but once the code is compiled that's it so this is more of an outlier use case than the norm.
So now that you have a feel for who I am as a potential customer, here's what I am looking for.
1 vcpu
1.5GB memory
10GB storage
2TB data transfer per month
1 IPv4
location anywhere in the United States
72 hour period for full refund
This is for Black Friday after all so I'm looking for pricing around $10/year (lower for older Xeon servers). However, I'm somewhat flexible on pricing if you provide solid and stable performance with your service. For example Epyc or Ryzen cores are certainly worth a slight premium. The 72 hour period for a full refund is so I can confirm that your service is actually adequate. I'm also open to locations outside of the US if the deal is good enough. Feel free to message me directly with offers if this is something you are interested in but don't want to post publicly.

wait 7 days for $7 server.
Hear hear, I agree with everything said above so if anyone have deals like that I'm also looking.
Just as above, I'm a really nice neighbor and my demands are low. 20GB storage would be nice but otherwise my requirements are pretty much the same as above, there is flexibility in the price of course and if you are a proven and trustworthy provider I do not even care about refunds. Oh, ipv6 is a must, of course.
I have a few Inception and Crunchbit vps's that need's replacing so hit me up.
No *BSD compatible required?
what a shame!
Actually one of the vps's I'm going to replace runs FreeBSD, but why specify that? I run lots of *BSD vps's, cant see why a provider should care about that?
Or maybe a $7 server can come to me before 7 days.
It isn't a requirement because all I use is BSD and so far I haven't found a single provider that I can't make it work with.
Send @dustinc an email, pretty sure he can help you out
Hey! I can offer you a VPS to your liking in The Netherlands. A trial period or an extended refund period is no problem. The standard pricing can be found here:
https://hstprov.com/index.php?rp=/store/pvds/pv-config
IPv6 is not available (yet), but a public IPv4 is for sure
Feel free to send me a DM for more info (the site is still pretty shitty). Sending a message on Discord is also fine: pjottertjah
I can lower the requirements further for a lower monthly price if needed.
By the way, the budget dedicated servers might also be interesting.
I already have service with RackNerd. As you suggest Dustin has been very accommodating.
Great idea @FrankCastle .. Watching this thread!
I'm seeking similar except:
1gb ram is fine
also need /64 ipv6
prefer not colocrossing ips as I need to be able to access websites
not interested in any of the hosts doing the recent "3yr+1yr bonus" fad
@dustinc is always helpful in every way, but unfortunately they do not fully support ipv6 which is a basic requirement today. I have nothing bad to say about Racknerd, I have a few servers with them in the locations where they do have ipv6 and they run flawlessly, but I would like to not have all my servers in the same location.
Great idea @FrankCastle
My DMs are also open, if any provider is interested. Either looking in very small VMs (1c0.5gb5gb) or a bit bigger (1c2g10gb). Bandwidth-wise, I don't mind much.
My collection list is over 300 VPSs and some dedis, you'll never hear anything bad from me, I'm a good neighbor
Yearly recurring preferred.
What's this 7 dollar server that everyone is talking about?
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it is just a meme at this point because of some past deals. $7 is funny to LET like 69 is funny to a 14 year old or 42 is cool to scifi nerds, you get the point.
Back in the good old days a price under $7 was considered "Low End" and if my memory serves me, it was also the price cap for the VPS offers over here and LEB.
It is already sold out but @SolidSeoVPS had a $7/year VPS offer. They are a premium provider so that was great to see. I hope all of their other offers do extremely well, thanks for supporting our community.
@AK_KWH @Advin @AezaHost @AllHost_Rep @CharityHost_org @Chunkserve @Clouvider @ColoCrossing @DartNode @Dasabo @DediRock @EthernetServers @FameSystems @Francisco @Hassan @HostEONS @HostSlick @Hosteroid @LittleCreek @MannDude @NDTN @PrepaidHost @ProHosting24 @SalmonBrandon @Shakib @TNAHosting @advinservers @alexhost @c1vhosting @cloudblast @crunchbits @dapavn @dustinc @heartbeat_IT @hosthatch @hostnamaste @host_c @labze @lnx @nohavps @orangevps @rsk @serverpoint @sthosting @v3ng @vsys_host @xHosts
Anyone else able to compete with @SolidSeoVPS's $7/year VPS? It doesn't have to be that low. I have a fresh, crisp Hamilton waiting for one of you to take it off my hands!
512MB IPv6-only perhaps
Otherwise, our input cost of 1x IPv4 space is greater than $7/year!
My open offer to all providers.
1 CPU core
1 GB RAM
20 GB SSD
1 IPv4 + 1 IPv6
10 USD / Yearly (Recurring)

Bro don't break the code. It's 7 $ / y
I thought we could cover $3/y out of our deadpool charity fund... That is our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Activity
Alright, I never break my code, it's enshrined in my blood—but for our company, I'm willing to break it just this once!
We had recently 11.88€ VPS Moldova 1.5GB RAM, 10GB NMVe, but already sold. We have blackfriday deals right now. But 11.88€ yearly was sold fast.
Keep eye, probably we will do more who knows?
Your swe-promo page says:
we're currently experiencing a brief service interruption at this location due to high server demand. our team is working diligently to restore access as quickly as possible. please try another location
And they’re liars
It's rarely in stock lately, it was more or less discontinued in September:
(those data bins are weekly, so "0.14" means 1 day in stock during the whole week)
Edit: derp I just destroyed the chart I posted, the current chart has 1 day bins and only 30 days of data.
So what I'm hearing is @AezaHost was just dangling a carrot in front of me that I was never going to be able to get? Not cool.
It was regularly in stock during summer, then almost ceased to be since September. I just broke the chart so this is no longer visible
