Just another lost Chinese vessel dragging it's anchor
So where is the hosthatch cheerleaders who will blame the victim for this down time?
Storage node down in Sydney and unable to access portal either.
Can confirm unable to access panel/portal. Sydney VPS is still up for now.
Is compute in Stockholm up?
One storage node down in Sydney (ping responds but can't get to service - 5 minute burst of connectivity during the day), the other storage and compute is OK. Logged a ticket after an hour of downtime but now the cloud.hosthatch.com portal is down
Sounds almost identical. Just happy I trusted my gut and didn't use them for prod.
I'm OK, i had crunchbits as failover
My crunchbits waiting for a refund
Hmm, my Stockholm storage servers seem fine, might be a somewhat isolated issue to certain node(s)?
No downtime reported from Hetrix for 3 of my servers (2 storage, 1 promo compute) and I can connect to them all fine.
Also no issues logging into cloud.hosthatch.com (besides that bug where the sidebar still shows "Log in / Sign up" until you manually refresh the page after logging in).
It's back up up now - it was definitely down before with a blank white overlay upon successful login. I can now see the console of my server that is/was having issues and just a few seconds ago my service seems to have become accessible.
@Gravely - see if yours is up!
edit: erk, there goes the SYD storage server again
down, down prices are down
No downtime for Stockholm storage server for me too.
hah?
My Stockholm compute has been unstable the past week as well including 2 downtimes. Hope it improves, I am using it for prod because I never had issues with HH in the past.
FYI Sydney storage looks happy again
my Amsterdam looks alright.

More drop outs today... Came good yesterday evening (Australian time) now dropping out pretty consistently;

@bdl how is yours today?
Even after waiting almost 8 hours for an urgent response, I was instructed to ping the server...
@hosthatch what's happening?
Mine's been dropping out again this morning since about 8am AEDT
Network related I feel, my other storage in Sydney has no problems with communcating with the dodgy one, but anything external isn't connecting.
I'm guessing you and I have storage servers on the same node which is having issues. And my other storage server is on a different node.
And on top of this I've also found my LA storage server reboots when experiencing any disk I/O. So much fun!
Yep me too... Other standard compute in Sydney is fine network wise. I'm very close to requesting a refund, not acceptable
I just reopened my ticket from yesterday (which got no response), I'll keep you posted if they reply. Hopefully things settle down a bit, I now have two HH storage servers that can't store data
My Stockholm storage was also down yesterday for a few hours.
It definitely wasn't the network, as I could access the console and see a lot of IO errors. Reboots didn't help, and the system reported that no boot drive could be found.
Apparently it was some issue with that node, as it began working shortly after I opened a ticket. The ticket was closed without reply.
Can confirm that I can access my storage and hosthatch panel

It was already written in the promotional event that you guys would be the last tier who will be replied from the support staff. So in reality, hosthatch before buying the promotional packages, alert you that you shouldn't expect much support if you have any issues.
If you are regular package holder, that's different.
In my experience it doesn't make a difference. Had a 32GB server in Sydney purchased from the shop front. Server was offline for over 24 hours before support moved it to another node.
You obviously don't hold any promotional services with them.
i understand this is not a right place to ask. ive used hosthatch 7 years ago for a project which is abandoned after a year plus. the experience was ok'ish with some un-expected downtime. VPS was at NL region.
after few years, lurking around LET, i saw their storage vps 1tb for $5 was great deal and give it a try. this time is SG region. picked that up due close to my location.
overall. i feel like its very slow response and unrealiable. not sure if theres any misconfig, ive setup many server before. never had this kind of slow-repsonse issue. anyone had same issue with their storage vps?
Yes I have a hh sg storage box and it has high iowait and it's definitely laggy in use. I guessed my neighbours on the node were torrenting or similar. The greencloud storage servers in .sg are way more performant.
@Gravely - Ticket was closed without response, however my SYD storage box seems to have calmed down now and the network is way more stable.
LA still craps the bed and resets if I try and do any kind of disk i/o.
Mine has calmed down too.
I received a reply to my ticket saying there was packet loss on the node, and that they would follow up after investigation, ticket it still on hold.
Can't ever see myself using them for production data, even with store front purchased services.
