Hey! I am the only one in top 10 without similar comments :D There are users in top10 that could argue about the algorithm, but I can argue also :)

How do we know that you did not hardcode that for your account  make the code open-source

Feel free to find my similar comments :D And I can easily provide you yours :D

 but open-source the code though

Nope, I can't. I have already mentioned several times in previous threads, I am using some parts of code from my company projects, so I would break NDA if I would open source it. And rewriting everything to skip that part would not be time efficient :)

I did that code myself for them, and since they don't see my project code, its ok :) It just can't become public :)

Can rewrite the code using LLM or a local LLM for privacy.

Have found LLMs to be okay for small rewriting tasks, small snippets or functions. At a large scale they do fail or tend to cook up usage of non-existent APIs & functions. However to get an initial idea its fine, manual work will be needed anyway.

Currently Stats page is working fine.
"Let's try to use LLM to save time"...
Spend more time fixing all the things it broke than.
Have Stats page working hopefully the same :D

I'm trusting myself more than trying to fix what it would break :D

Soon llms will take all our jobs though if that were not the case

  • Looks like everyone is gone

  • I am more concerned about the fact that legal procedure around the world has not caught upto what newer LLM and AI models are capable of doing. These disruptive tech have the power to manipulate everything from simple court cases to world order. I wonder why the big tech companies promoting AI and LLM haven't come up with a standard ethics code. I have no doubt that they have ulterior motives, but, are they making it very obvious now by flaunting their apparent inability to come up with a fixed ethical code for AI.

  • @codelock said: Soon llms will take all our jobs though if that were not the case

I don't think it will take ALL jobs, but we will have a bit of a problem. LLMs will be able to replace junior developers easily. At that point there will be no use to employ juniors. But for safety everyone will need experts to check what LLM did and fix the problem.

How do young people become experts when they don't get the junior part? And experts will die of because of the age, so the gap will widen each day until a disaster hits.
