    RAM upgrades are for lifetime. They pay the same price as earlier for 512MB+ more RAM. I guess its easier to give out more RAM than cores (financially). Might be completely wrong though.

    In the main random event I would like to get the laptop. My 12-year old N56VZ is barely holding (I already ordered monitor hinges, because they are giving up, I hope to revive it at least for a while :) ). From the activity event anything would work. I guess anything would get converted to account credit, unless as I mentioned a lot of pages ago, if @dustinc would start using EU Amazon for EU residents for delivery :)

    Did the math with my setup and it's definetly cheaper by a long run

    Yeah, that would also work. I don't even need a VPS since I have quite a good home server. But since my laptop is still not dead I can still use it :D

    Yeah buy a 100€ laptop and use that with a home server, works great for me (i have a company macbook but done use the macbook part... just a glorified rdp client)

    It depends on what you already have. :) In my opinion the best ratio for CPU:RAM is 1:2, so currently I am missing on RAM :)

    I would also take the storage upgrade, but RAM upgrades are more common :)

    Financially too, isn't it easier to allocate more RAM than cores?
