wow, that looks like a proper vps i am looking for (ssd and storage with cores)
how much you are paying for that.

I signed up for the yearly vps when @labze released Ryzen VPS promos.

If I have to pick something similar this year, I would go with this one

    DE-EPYC-Storage 8TB
    4 vCore AMD EPYC 9334
    8 GB DDR5 ECC RAM
    120 GB NVMe Boot Storage
8 TB HDD RAID-6 (NVMe cached)

10TB VPS here, solid and fast as fck
    Long live @labze

  • Is the storage box extremely slow for anyone else? Like a simple ls takes 30 seconds

  • @cy7 said:

It is for me. My IPs seem to be rate-limited, and they're dynamic. So I don't bother sending in a ticket until it's more stable. With my IPs, the storage box is unusable temporarily because it's too slow, but I can wait for them to sort things out.

I can mount it to a VPS via SSHFS and use it just fine, but not NextCloud where I have to access it using my IPs that are being blocked.

Actually this Storage box seems better than Nat Storage VPS if you only need FTP/FTPS/SFTP.

My only concern is stability and sustainibility.

The host itself only has 6TB of Space, so I assume this will be oversold.

  • @Fritz said:

My host actually has some 200TB+ storage. Are you sure you're checking correctly?

  • @labze I want to respectfully ask - what is your policy on the LVE limits of the DirectAdmin storage boxes? If one knows what one is doing, then these LVE machines can be used for much more than just webhosting. But those use cases (minio, syncthing, borg) obviously come with higher CPU and RAM usage, and these services are definitely priced much lower than a comparable VPS. So before I get too comfortable with this DA deal and get kicked out I would like to know how close to observe the limits. I obviousl keep the "Resource Limits" in DA in the eye.

I'm on ftp1 node and this cleary says 5.57TB (~6TB).

You're probably looking at the NVMe the system is running on. Storage on ftp1 is around 240TB.

Okay I'll try to look from SSH.

    It was from the Panel.

Edit. missed the bcache0 part. lol.

  • is ssh enabled for DA storage box?
can i like ssh into and mount my remote s3 storage
or let my other server to rsync backups into it via bash script and ssh keys?

Rsync and SSH keys do work. I use them :)

By allowing your own domain, you have a public folder (another provider didn't have one) which makes it easy to quickly download from another VPS ✔️

Using SFTP app for Windows. It is free for personal use and seems like not very restricted. You can also pair it with Cryptomator to encrypt files.
