They must have a lot of the KS-A hardware in other DC’s with higher power costs.

Maybe they’re shipping it to the DC’s where it’s actually selling (BHS).

I don't think anyone in their sane mind, would ship hardware for a 5$/m server around the globe, not even OVH.

It’s not about the €5. It’s clearly for marketing.

I can see it being worth it to be able to continue with rare restocks for awhile instead of having it rot across EU.

The one thing that speaks for that, is that no order from yesterdays flood has been terminated, yet.
Neither has my pending order since 15 days.

it's really strange to have reopened sales when deliveries of older orders haven't even been made yet

    strange strategy

That on the other hand, speaks for a bug.
Especially how the stock system behaved yesterday.

if it really is a bug, why not cancel the orders directly?

    Incomprehensible strategy from ovh

The billing team probably has a hangover from yesterday.
OVH doesn't need to hurry to terminate the order.

    Why should they?

Bug, write off your current KS-A order.
I already see the light at the end of the tunnel.

But also: why release stock now if they expect them on the 29th and it continues to be delayed?

Why not just release them when they’re ready?

Makes no sense, it’s not like 1 000 x €5 is a lot of money for them

I bought two KS-A yesterday and two KS-LE-1 today. The KS-A are "72h" and the KS-LE-1 was "120 seconds".
Both are in "Being processed" - "Preparing your order" status.
Anyone knows if OVH might still cancel the orders and if so how long it might take? Will they just cancel when 72h are over or might it take longer or will they never cancel and maybe stay in this status?
    Thanks!

KS-A - expect it to be cancelled anytime. They are probably figuring out a way to do bulk cancellations. It does seem they are short on hardware and it is next too impossible to fill users' multiple bot orders at the price point they offered.

I reached out to support and they said all current KS-A pending orders would be fulfilled by November 29

They said the same kind of thing during the flash sales, before making a mass order cancel. Not sure it this answer has any value.
