Could you share any BF deals you find so everyone else can take advantage too? :)
It's not just about server offers or stuff like that. If you find any cool deals that could help others, share them too. Sharing really is caring! ![]()
I haven't seen any offers so far, which is a bit unexpected. It's November 20, and by this time, there are usually quite a few offers popping up online before Black Friday. Have you come across anything yet?

FileEn has their lifetime storage plans up.

2 TB for 7e isn't bad
Do you have experience with them?
Not personally, no. I use Mega but pCloud is pretty well-reviewed in Cloud offerings.
Are there any Black Friday deal for Domain transfer? Please.
Depending on the TLD, you could probably transfer to Spaceship and get the current lowest Transfer for common TLDs.

pCloud is scanning your files and will close your account without further notice if copyrighted material is found so encrypt all your files.
That might be true although it's always recommended to encrypt before uploading in any case.
Mega seems to be better at it and I'm one of the only contributors to some of its OSS tools but there's still no real way to say with 100% certainty they're fully private. For those interested, there's also Tresorit.
Thanks for the PSA @gbzret4d! I didn't know.
Have heard negative issues about pCloud. Customers with lifetime accounts are more prone to get their services terminated as they are mostly a liability to the company.
There were reports that monthly customers are having their accounts intact in-spite of storing copyrighted/warez contents as these customers are a source of continuous revenue stream.
So they may be selectively scanning, not every one.
Don't they employ E2EE
"pCloud Encryption" is a separate product that costs money
Oh
Are these recurring ?
There's a small font at the bottom, no
Never had any issues with pcloud. Media files are in encrypted Cryptomator on pcloud
You've forgot to underline "at that moment"
It would be awesome if OffSec did some BF offers. I have taken some certs with them but would like to take more.
I'm a big fan of https://addy.io (service like simplelogin). You can selfhost it aswell. They are running a 40% black friday offer for new customers. It worked on my existing account aswell.
Proton VPN is great.
There are plenty of deals for Rails developers, both for learning resources and tools: https://blackfridaydeals.dev/deals/ruby-on-rails
Also, beyerdynamic is offering Black Friday deals on various audio products, like headphones: https://europe.beyerdynamic.com/blackfriday?utm_source=x_we&utm_medium=carousel&utm_campaign=aktion_blackweekdeals&utm_content=consumer
I just noticed that https://blackfridaydeals.dev has plenty of deals for more than just Rails developers. I came across the original link in a newsletter.

Lot of security stuff. Worth checking if anyone's interested

From many years ago. But a good reference to see if the similar offers are provided.
Again it's from 2020, so read and understand.
