It should be possible, because there will be no verification whether the account is an account owned by you.
This year, who's looking for offers on Ryzen 7XXX series VPSes?
Maybe. No idea though.
Transferring vps is a good thing, a lot of time I get legendary deals with no use it is better if someone else can use it
Thats what I already said. I would never give up my special VM
I am only willing to catch some new upgrades so the VM would be even more special
It is good, unless it's being used by scalpers, whoa re taking it out of the hands of people who need it desperately.
I hate the idea of idling VPSes. The Indian in me considers it a huge waste of money and power (electric, etc.). That's the only reason I'd ever consider giving up my VPSes.
At least I am trying not to take any new VMs if I don't have a use case (at least planned) for it.
I guess, that is a bit influenced by the fact that I have a home server where I can host a lot of temporary stuff.
The transfer service exists for a reason. I think it is a very good service.
Nah not your internet, last time there were many Chinese also trying to get it. In 2022, it wasn't much of an issue, but in 2023, their server crashed multiple times, and I'm almost certain some people used bots too.
I need to get a home server it seems
Last year, the VPS deals (non-thread ones) were great, esp. the Ryzen ones. I was really planning on getting one of those if all else failed. This year, as well, even without the special flash sales, the prices are extremely competitive.
There will also be robots this year
Pretty sure as well. Didn't wanna specifically say bots unless I was sure. Since you concur as well, I am now certain.
There are bots everywhere, and they are getting smarter
Mine is not too special. i5-11500, 96GB RAM, RaidZ2 over 4x6TB HDD, GTX3060 12GB (for playing with ComfyUI). It is not power hungry, but also I am free to do anything I want
I'd never use them. The basic premise with winning a flash sale or a giveaway, for me, is the thrill that comes with it, and a sense of achievement that comes post winning or getting it.
You could get the sense of achievement if you create the bot by yourself
That still might have cost a lot , hopefully I can win a pc from this racknerd thread let's see , I don't think I will though
How is your electricity bill, assuming, it runs 24/7?
Invoice #13630065
Invoice #13630380
Double bandwidth please
At least currently you are the one to win. The problem with winning such prize for me would be the shipping to EU and taxes...
LOL! I lack the expertise for that. It'd be fun to look into it though, not for sales purposes, but, for automating a lot of repetitive stuff that I do on a regular basis. What language would you recommend that I pick up for automation, apart from AI-based ones.
Is it that bad in EU, given we, in India have had experiences of being slapped with 150% of the MRP as customs duties alone?
Same I am still wondering how will I ship such a thing if I win but then again I can just get equivalent credits and use racknerd as my homelab
Why is there no news? We need more giveaways. Not yet 100 pages
80-90Eur for everything. I mean, I have 3 children, so a lot of laundry, food making - electric stove, sometimes 3d printing, etc... So my "server room", I would say, costs me 10-15Eur/month. But having the same specs in some DC would cost me much more
I guess Dustin is either resting or prepping the itinerary for the next set of GAs.
