Datacenter NL Down - Power outage
There is a power outage in the datacenter in the Netherlands. We're giving our best, to bring the services up again as fast as possible.
Welcome to the new normal.
Subsea cables down, data centers down, hurricanes everywhere... 2024 feels a lot different than 2019...

I edited my comment a minute later to change that 7 to 14, since there were a bunch more on other SkyLink providers that don't currently have uptime checks.
I didn't look for the reason, honestly my first guess was someone was probably DDoSing it. But at least good the status page is being updated

Well, I've had a similar situation when an Apache heli flew into a powerline (you might remember that situation). The dataroom I was responsible for just kept on working with help of the aggregate, but our telecom supplier had issues nearby because of the power outage. Shouldn't happen with fiber, but it did.
