Darrnoteeeee!!!
wowwww,loook is so great.
Nice. Your server is good so far.
I need to know if it’s even possible to get my server back online. This downtime has stretched on for hours when the network upgrade was supposed to take only 5-10 minutes.
I never received any email or notification about this maintenance. This is highly unprofessional and not what I expected. On top of that, my support ticket (#3149) has gone unanswered, leaving me completely in the dark.
This is my first month with Dartnode, and I am seriously disappointed.
If this is how you handle downtime and communication, it doesn’t inspire confidence for the future.
My server is also down, same with the website not that it really matters to me since my server has been unusable before network maintenance even happened high latency / packet loss and very slow download speeds. I've talked to live support multiple times and opened a ticket and my server has been stuck with these speeds and latency for over a week, 100ms to dallas and 220ms to uk 10mb/s download speed aswell.
their website is down now
As of writing this message its been 12 hours 31 minutes.
sigh
Howdy,
We are doing a core network upgrade related to the latency spikes we have seen in the past week. The window was announced in our customer portal and an email should have been sent out. If you are not receiving emails, please open a ticket once the window is complete and we will look to resolve it.
The Router upgrade and infrastructure move was planned for a shorter duration, however some roadblocks came up. These risks are in the nature of changing hardware, and sometimes test environments differ from live results. We are working hard to complete upgrades and restore service. Communication has been limited during the window as we are currently all hands on deck.
We are still within the original window time, and don't expect to have to extend it at this moment. We will keep everyone posted and appreciate the patience. We don't take this kind of disruption lightly, however the network was clearly suffering and it is a necessary evil.
Most equipment was intermittent up/down for majority of the window - However it is possible that yours did not come back up properly.
At the moment the entire network is down, one that component is done we will be actively solving instances where operating systems are not booting or coming back online.
It would’ve been nice to get a heads-up about this downtime or maintenance issue beforehand. There is no way for us to see server status from the client portal. So, we have no choice but to take your word for it.
Anyway, putting that aside for now, could you please let me (and everyone else affected) know when we can expect your network to become operational again?
A clear (appropriate) timeline would be appreciated.
20241120 5:34 AM UTC -5 dartnode network still unavailable.
this does seem like this is a repeating occurrence every few months
Yes, growing pains are certainly abound. We've seen growth outpacing projections the past year - We outgrew a lot of things, but we as we upgrade we are adding more stability and redundancy. Our VM's have been very stable as a whole since the Hypervisor move.
The silver lining is that we are not seeing repeating issues on the same systems. Though we aren't above admitting that there are things we would have implemented differently from the get go - but hindsight is 20/20, we didn't know what we didn't know.
The goal is to have less of these types of events, and eventually eliminate them bar disaster. Ultimately it's one step at a time, and we always welcome feedback. Thank you for sharing. It helps the team consider the total picture when these types of events come up.
The network is back up, services will continue to come up throughout the next few hours, though most should already be restored.

Correct, certain routing functions are still being addressed. BGP peering, IPV6, IPMI, and a few other functions are still impacted and being worked on.
Your server is up?
Bro, please remember to save the configuration on routers and switches after you all finish all the work.
(I mean this outage is a significantly impact for some customers)
My server has been down for hours and it really affect my business. I hope it will be back online soon.
