Sorry for the wait, here’s the mandatory YABS for the recent 15tb offer :P
Thanks @host_c
Edit: srry I forgot to add the disk speed
@Warkos
We fixed the BW issue, IPV4 and IPV6 should have same speed now.
THX to the one of you 2 reporting it
MOARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Yo @host_c , any sneak peak into the "new" location?
@ehab can put his pants down.
Location is the same for the moment, Oradea, Romania.
Unfortunately we did not manage to open the other one this year.

Forgot to Post, Sorry! Thanks @host_c, for the server and for fixing the BW

edit: added fio from HDD
Awesome!!!
Congratulations!!!
if I were to keep only one vps, it will be @host_c
6 GB DDR4 RAM
60 GB NVME Boot Drive
15 TB HDD Storage Add-on (Raid 60) 4K IOPS @ 4K and up to 1 GBPS RW
1 Dedicated IPV4 IP
1 Dedicated IPV6 IP, /64 upon request via ticket
Internet @ 1 GBPS / Best Effort
27TB Internet Traffic, 50 MBPS after depletion
Will there still be restocking?
My opinion.... Instead of making 1 deal of 15TB; it will be more useful if we get 3X5TB.
More people will get the opportunity to buy the package and idling will be also less.
5TB is also not a small storage and I think most people wouldn't mind if it is 3X5TB instead of 1X15TB
3 X 15T will be better
@host_c When can we expect actual, profitable deals? These unprofitable ones don't make sense for you or your customers.
Please consider releasing plans that are both well-priced and profitable for you. For example, something like ~25TB for $20–30/month would be fantastic.
These are in limited number, flash sales, and as I said at the beginning, we need to test some stuff.
The 20TB and upwards are coming later this YR. ( HO HO HO ). - The more premium offers on these are on our website by the way ( https://host-c.com/store/vps-storage )
Now back to the limited offer.
. There will be plenty deals and good stuff coming in 2025, those that have 2 ore more services with us will have the possibility to upgrade/merge and so on.
new signups only (must have no previous active orders) - AKA new customers only!, - guys, please let some new fellas join the club

good luck everyone!
i have 2 cheaper options already (by 2 different providers)
$7 for 500gb
and $24 for 1500gb
any chance for something with lower cpu/ram to bring the price even more down? im curious
Not really, as we do not get anything below Xeon Scale Gen 1 SRV now, V4 are EOL for us, the ones we already have will get an upgrade of the CPU, but we will not buy any more V4 cpus servers.
EDIT:
Why not use cheaper older cpu's? well we are in 2025 within a few days and those CPU's are 10 years old already.
The V4 has a low memory BW from my point of view, they are stuck at ~76GBPS vs Scale Gen 1 has 128.1 GBPS.
Newer models have even better numbers, plus a ton of other factors.
are you sure about the price for the additional thing? that's a little expensive, or maybe it's because I'm used to the super good prices in the past
Doesn't matter if it's storage.
1c1g5nvme2tb for 9/q would be a killer deal. Even 10-12/q maybe.
On a spinning 1 Drive, yes it is doable sure. On a 24X Raid 60 Array, I highly doubt it.
There is a reason I wrote countless times those having the 5TB Pioneer deal, to either sell it or renew it, some listened, some did not.
If a promotion is constant each year, it is called a standard sale, not a promotion.
And that’s where the problem arises. A great example of this is @HostSlick and @crunchbits, who exited the low-end market because it was no longer worthwhile. Both companies once offered outlandish deals, but now they provide good ones. While these deals are profitable, they don’t attract as many customers as they used to.
@sillycat
I cannot debate/comment other's decisions, it is not my place to do, nor will I.
I can only tel/say that it is impossible to provide performance, HW redundancy and quality if there is no $ in the bank.
And in the end, the one that looses the most is the customer, there are countless examples on this forum. ( and a ton from my country for example )
Arkas has the best signature of them all " If it's too good to be true, it probably is "
There is a difference between cheap/risky deal and a good deal.
All those aside,
Sale starts in 30 minutes.
YABS
1 vCore /1 GB / 10 GB / 1 TB
3K IOPS @ 4K = 12mb/s ... thats damm slow even for a backup server
The $7 deal? @host_c seems to not have restricted your IOPS...
TBH that's damn fast as it gets > 100 MB/s with bigger blocksizes. I also have a VPS from a competitor where the HDD is limited to 300 IOPS and I still like it as it's perfectly suited for backups. A hdd only has ~ 100 IOPS IIRC.
1 SATA drive will do ~0.3 to 0.5 MB/sec at 4K random and a max of 130-160 IOPS total.
I highly doubt that a HDD can push above 1MB/sec @4K random, even SAS will struggle.
Also, a backup server will do sequential write with large packets, unless you are doing SCP/FTP of millions of TXT 3KB files.
The random 4K value will hit you if you boot an OS from that drive, this is why we provide an NVME for boot.
