    Yep! Once its confirmed that the server is up to the task, then other factors like reliability, security, and scalability come into play.

    If this is a production level application:

    1. good support, my needs will change, the hardware will age, and I need professional and prompt help from staff to handle it all

    2. good network, not just connectivity, but bandwidth reserves and availability, I don't want my service to drop out or my latency to spike.

    3. Quality server room, at T3 level or higher, at least dual power supply, etc. ......

    4. Quality enterprise grade hardware. Honestly this is a bit controversial as I'm fine with an AMD 9900X, so the implication here is that vendors should use reliable hardware and make sure they have a good handle on it!

    5. price, yes, that's certainly important too. We'll go for something that isn't cheap, but is competitive enough when you consider all of the above. I don't mind merchants automating a lot of things, that actually means they have good scale and processes in place and can rely on that to improve quality and reduce costs. I know it's a bit of an overreach to discuss Hetzner here, but they're really quite unique in that regard.

    You’ve nailed the essentials ;) strong support, reliable infrastructure, and quality hardware are non-negotiable. Pricing should be competitive, but value and long-term stability are what truly matter.
