OVH Server Transfer Requests Thread

Free transfer if anyone wants it

I have a KS-4, GRA, 2 x 450 GB SSD, 32 GB RAM, World ($). No lottery, as it's not a flash sale model - it's just the E3 1230v6, 300 mbps up, 1gb down, as advertised. So recurring price is $23.30 - $18.80 for the base price, plus $4.50 for the RAM being 32 GB.

I had no need for it, so changed renewal to manual. It expired on Saturday 9th. They suspended it on Tuesday, later than usual, because I set renewal to manual with too few days notice for suspension as soon as it lapsed. From experience, they delete it a week after suspending, so possibly tomorrow, or possibly next Tuesday.

Not looking for any money, because I've had the full service I paid for. I also don't know how it works transferring a server that is in suspension (I can still get to the Edit Contacts screen for it). It is suspended, but I have no unpaid invoices, so my account is in good standing and it should go through.

You can't get any SSD KS-4 in Europe and haven't been able to for weeks. There is the HDD model in Warsaw and that's it. So if I can help someone get the server they're waiting for, and save them the setup fee, let's do that rather than let the OVH staff put it back in the pool.

When you get it, you'd need to pay the next month to restore service, and it probably only takes you up to 9th Dec.

If I've saved you some money and you want to send $10 to my PayPal, I'd be grateful. But I don't even know if this works, so let's do that after it's gone through. Let me know if you'd be happy to pay something when you reach out.

Just putting this out there in case it helps someone. DMs open

Sorry - just tried to transfer, and you can't after they've suspended it

    EU account

  • Hello!

Hello! I'm brand new to this forum and pretty new to VPSes and servers in general. I'd LOVE to get a KS-LE-B or KS-LE-C in Europe, France or Germany. If anyone is interesting in selling let me know please. I'm on the EU account

  • Hello everyone. I am interested in a Kimsufi server of the KS-LE-A/B/C series located in Europe. Anyone interested in transferring can contact me. Thanks.

Also tagging FAT32 – maybe admins & mods could discuss this internally and come up with something smart :)

We didn't intended it to be a bidding but rather just selling when we first came up with the rule, but ya I think we can look into it from bidding perspective.

So, you want more bots buying the best offers on LET and reselling them at higher prices, like the scalpers on Hostloc do?

VPS transfer auctions are a bad idea.

Limiting it on LET won’t stop any scalping.

We could have a strict max amount of selling threads per x amount of time if you actually think that it’ll make a difference.

  • Mod - Can we close this thread ?

Let individuals open the proper one as there're some new accounts just drop here and ask for transfers.

I don’t think the thread could ever be what OP wanted because there’s simply very few people willing to let go of their deals compared to people willing to buy them.

Looking to swap the below (or accept a suitable cash offer on you selling your LE-B) for a UK/EU subsidiary KS-LE-B (With upgraded NVMe and/or RAM) located anywhere in Europe.

    [KS-1 in GRA1]
    Xeon D-1521 (Slight upgrade)
    1G/1G IPv4+6 (Upgrade)
    4x4TB (Upgrade)

Yes, that's right, 4x4TB and full Gigabit each way (v4/v6).

    —-

    [KS-LE-B-HDD in LIM1]
    E3-1230 v6 (Very slight upgrade)
    2x4TB HDD (Upgrade)

    —-

    [KS-LE-2 in GRA1 from year/two ago - old promo]
    E5-1650 v2
    32GB
    2x 800GB SATA SSD
100M up, Gigabit down on v4/v6
    Usually £21.32 with UK VAT.

Willing to swap any of the above or just buy the LE-B-NVMe. Send me a DM.
EU/UK account holds these, looking for the same EU/UK in return.

I’ve heard world may work but this is untested on my side.

I have got a KS-LE-C (SSD version) in RBX, with upgraded RAM from 32G to 64G. Everything else is as advertised. Please DM me if anyone is interested in this.

Meanwhile, I'm looking for KS-LE-C (SSD version) in France, with upgraded CPU.

So you think these "new" accounts will work up their post count and open actual service transfer threads and not just go pollute the other OVH thread with their requests/offers?

Atleast this thread pertains only to transfers and requests so its easier to browse to find or offer something among the 50 other comments about bots or cancellations.

Also considering taking a LE-E in Europe with upgraded RAM / SSD ;)

  • I have the "regular" KS-LE-B in GRA:

    • Xeon E3-1245v5
    • 32 GB RAM
    • 2x450nvme
    • 300/1000 network

The NVMes are old enough but with barely any read/write (below 5TB).
I have another "upgraded" server in GRA, so I was wondering if anyone with a not too new account would want to swap my server for a KS-LE-B with NVMes in LIM? The "base" model is fine, if the ssd are not ridiculously close to death.

My account is French. I think an account in Europe would work for the transfer.

    Cheers.

I guess I won't find anyone to trade a KS-LE-B with my LE-A I will just give it to someone.

    I have a KS-LE-A in RBX with Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1245 V2 and 32GB RAM. Disk have 80k/80k/40k hours.
