  • Oh, I thought this thread was transfers only. Well if we are all shouting what we want: looking for a KS-LE-B with HDD. Thanks in advance.

  • I'm looking for the KS-LE-B, I have an OVH EU account. Please let me know the price and specifications.

    I got 2x KS-LE OG's 16$/m with double storage (1TB), double memory (32GB).
One in GRA and one in BHS.

    Specs?

Ks-a is unobtainable legend. No one in their right mind will ever sell it for less than 600€.

Would someone in any kind of mind buy it for that price though? Unless they are rich grand parents and the grand kid said he wants a KS-A for Christmas?

Please do not mention ks-a ever again. It is legendary server and must be respected.

Can I auction a KS-LE-A, rbx 3x2TB HDD? $1 start. That would be fun. Who is the right mod to tag?

You can read the service transfer section of the rules and create a thread. I don't think an auction is against the rules.

Lol, didn't even know there was a rule section for that :)

    4. The selling price for the service cannot be more than 2 times the recurring price, or $10, whichever is higher.

No fun... That's at cost, wouldn't be an issue for me but it takes away the thrill as people would just bin it.

Maybe sell it on LES instead.

What do you guys think about modifying the rule to be setup cost + 2x the recurring price?

If not, at least setup cost + 1,5x recurring price or 2x recurring price (whatever’s highest), and keep the $10 is always fine.

IMO they need to take setup fees into account.

Edit: or just change selling price to asking price, why cap bids at all?

Yeah, something like that would work for me. Like, max $1 start , max $1 increment.

Would be fun, starting at $1 and 0.01 min increment. Not about the profit tbh. But gotta make them work to get the deal :)

A Dutch auction might be fun as well... But gotta leave some room to start with so yeah, setup+ 2x renewal looks workable. Unless it's a very desirable server obviously, I mean, it wouldn't work for a ks-a :)

”The selling price for the service cannot be more than 2 times the recurring price, or $10, whichever is higher.”

Is this meant to limit the asking price or does it actually apply to auctions in a way where the first one to bid what’s equal to 2x the recurring price always wins?

If it only applied to asking price, I could understand it. But limiting max bid in auctions seems a bit off.

Also, recurring price could become a weird thing to focus on in a way, as in, why would a server being auctioned with 1 day left on it be allowed to go for 12x more if it’s a yearly deal compared to a monthly one?

I’m about to go to sleep now though, so I’m a bit tired and might have read the rule wrong but, if not, I think there’s room for improvement.

Putting up an auction with a starting bid of $1 with no upper limit dosen’t really encourage scalping and even if it does, the selling would just take place on OGF if needed.

Edit: if it applies to bids and there’s no support in changing the rule, maybe add setup costs to the max price at least?

We didn't intended it to be a bidding but rather just selling when we first came up with the rule, but ya I think we can look into it from bidding perspective.

    Ah, yes, makes sense.

Looking forward to see what you guys can come up with.

Although, take your time, I know how stressful the BF period is for you..
