Would just like to say that because of a problem (noisy neighbours / very high steel) I decided to cancel my server. I did not want to load @MassiveGRID with extra work and felt that cancelling was likely easier for both of us.
The refund request was handled professionally, was simple and the refund was back in my bank account within 3 hours.
This to me shows that MassiveGRID is running things properly and although I cancelled a server I still have one other which I consider is working well.
So congrats MassiveGRID and thank you.

    • The traffic numbers are per month, right?
    • Is there a cooling-off period in case the performance does not turn out right or one needs to change spec?
    • Can I have an image download for backup purposes?
    • Can I use a custom ISO to install my VPS? (I want to bring my own RHEL subscription). And can I reinstall (or reupload an image) later without interrupting the service for billing purposes?

I can comment on this partially (just as a customer with one week experience):

They have RHEL 8 & 9 install image ISOs available for manual installation. The ISO selection is large but I don't see an option to upload your own in the web console, maybe need a ticket for that. But perhaps not necessary as the RHEL image is there. RHEL image is not subscription specific.

You can re-install by just mounting an ISO and booting your server from it. The server does not "disappear" as a result of that and will retain its IP address, billing etc. So in that sense it is more "static" or more similar to physical machine than cloud instances at AWS etc. Opening the console connection is extremely slow and requires patience. Sometimes it fails. The whole web UI is slow and there is an irritating chatbot that makes noises unless you mute the browser tab. I hope they improve on this one day.

I don't see an option to download VPS disk image in the UI, but you can achieve it manually by booting from some Live ISO. With that you can stream the image to some remote system (dhclient, dd and ssh (or similar) are tools that should be enough to get the job done). For regular backups this is obviously not a convenient option.

The traffic volume is indicated per month. You can see this by hovering over the "i" icon in the order screen.

I hope I can find out whether they can do custom ISOs as I am thinking of another possible option. I could take the 16G server and install Single Node OpenShift. I am not nearly rich enough to be using "real" OpenShift, this is basically a personal toy. However, SNO assisted install strictly requires a custom ISO that Red Hat Console generates. The cost-free Developer license covers all of my use and I take this license out myself.

As the responses on this thread seem to be backed up I'll try their sales email I guess.
