Show me where to buy the KS-LE-B for $40. I doubt there are many willing to let it go for that price.
In past threads , some people's let it go at cost i.e 25$
I am talking about the current situation. I really doubt there are people letting go their LE-B for $40. Get one of these and I will buy it for $50 from you
Keep checking the thread regularly, u will find it around 25$ ,
My ks-a order from nov 5 is still up, support says that estimated delivery is 2024-11-18.
KS-LE-E HDD GRA ordered on 5th November also cancelled and refunded.
KS-2 NVMe GRA "120 s" ordered on 9th November still pending...
OVH hates me
no one seems to talk about LE-D
are they that bad?
They’re not bad, just not interesting.
They will also likely be plagued with the awful Game networking.
Guys, I really want to buy KS-LE-B 2*2TB nVME
I’ll pay 100$ or whatever you want
Who wants to sell me their KS-A for 10 bucks
for you for free
Maybe I’ll do for 100$.
disk pic included
I just saw my ks-le-b order get cancelled. I was lucky enough to place an order on the 6th without any bots, but I guess others had already started using bots and as the result the whole batch was cancelled due to the volume of order.
I got a ks-le-c in roubaix with an extra 4TB hdd at just under 5k hours and the ssds are brand new. If someone's willing to exchange their ks-le-b with 1.92tb nvmes I can add another $50. My subsidiary is IE.
I start to feel desperate about Black Friday.
It sounds like:
sale -> race condition due to bots -> orders got through
they went through as much HW as they could and fulfilled orders, some out of order.
now they're out of random parts and had to cancel the remaining*.
I ordered a BHS machine flash sale yesterday, delivered instantly with 2 month old Intel SSD drives.
I think y'all orders emptied their spare parts closet.
They probably still do keep a bunch of spare as stuff does break and they cant just yeet someone’s server when it’s broken. I hope.
LIFO
I think they always accept more orders than stock though, but yes, it probably leads to too many accepted.
As I recall, 120s = in stock, 24h = not in stock
from the timeline it seems they delivered a bunch with... whatever they had, next day cancellation letters
and yeah, hopefully if a 2tb SSD dies, you aren't getting a 480g to replace it.
All just a guess based upon ordering a flash sale server yesterday - delivered instantly with 118 day old drives, personal best I've seen at OVH.
[root@bhs ~]# free -mh total used free shared buff/cache available Mem: 62Gi 886Mi 61Gi 1.0Mi 645Mi 61Gi Swap: 1.5Gi 0B 1.5GiNo complaints, RAM was upgraded and they're Intel S4510's
This type of replacement will DEFINITELY happen. ^_^'
Remember that even if not necessary, it is not uncommon for them to correct the link that may eventually be larger than the contracted one.
Eh, just hoping those who got those unicorn configurations will get made right if anything dies on them , pretty sure the HW unique configs is reflected in the web UI.
Seeing drives 4 months old is just a new for OVH, so I figured they're getting low on hardware, and would make sense why they were bodging together anything left to fulfill orders.
From what I understand about replacements on the lottery servers, the technician just looks at the part id that's been requested to be replaced and switches it out for a new one, I don’t think they see what server you’re supposed to have etc so I doubt anything would be removed, this isn’t confirmed though but it makes sense especially when requesting it via api
Do you see the replacement parts requesting your server from API?
all i can see is
Everyone, wo got cancelation.
Which payment method did you use? CC, PayPal or account credit? Have you got services before at OVH?
I think that they logging reputation for users and delivery depends on it because i> @seoboy said:
The OVHcloud API lists the server configuration items, for lottery winners the extra CPU, RAM and/or NVMe in KS-LE-B.
Technician try to replace same type of the damaged device, e.g. NVMe as it required to RAID.
Log in here.
Click on auth and grant access to console.
Go to GET /dedicated/server/{serviceName}/specifications/hardware and insert your service name (nsxxx), click execute.
If you don't know it, get it from ovh.com/manager, or GET /dedicated/server and click execute, you will get an array, containing your dedicated machines.
If you done everything, an example output
(It is KS-LE-1 from 2022 BlackFriday.)
It's funny, I just checked our monthly invoice and saw we are paying $178.96 CAD/month to OVH for one of our aging server, exactly the same specs as the base KS-LE-E that I got last week for $22.19 CAD / month.
CPU: Xeon E5-1650v3
RAM: 64GB
DISK: SoftRaid 2x450GB SSD NVMe
I will definitely replace that server and two more servers after this black friday with newer AMD EPYC based servers (looking at OVH Advance servers to replace them)
I think those who got these LE servers should all be happy as the price was very good
Can you elaborate on the game networking pitfalls? I’ve used OVH servers for years with the game firewall which I assume means I’d be using this networking tier. I’m wondering what the differences are between that and the normal servers without the game firewall I guess.
Ok... They just delivered another ks-le-c half an hour ago...
Any lottery,?
Not at first look. Installing now to check what's up. Nevertheless, nice server to idle
