Is dasabo's breach of promise reasonable?

Dasabo provided such a promotion in the offer
Unbeatable VPS Deal: Only €0.83/Month! Get 1 Year FREE!
https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/199096/unbeatable-vps-deal-only-0-83-month-get-1-year-free

It has not changed until now,
Special Bonus: Reply with your invoice number to get an additional year free!

But after I purchased it and replied to the invoice, the dasabo staff replied that the promotion was over, but there was no mention of the end of the promotion anywhere in the threads, nor any explanation of when the promotion would end. As a consumer, I just bought it based on the promotion information, but the dasabo staff said that he needed to wait for the administrator to modify the threads. Is this reasonable?

I have seen several consumers who have had similar experiences as me.

Hope dasabo can keep their promise

  • The post with the offer does say "This lifetime offer is limited by availability".
Not sure if this is good enough but it is what it is really.
    Just ask for a refund.

  • Fu*king lol.

  • I don't think its right to expect people to read multiple pages to find that the offer has ended somewhere on the 50th page and later discussions on some other topic.

Either stop the user at the billing page or a use a coupon that expires.

I am assuming the host was not able to update the post content, If the user gets a refund, I don't think its an issue.

Literally click to the last page and see if anyone is being told "promotion has ended". It's not all that hard..

Most last pages would have either people complaining about the service or use it as an alternative to creating tickets or the topic would have been completely derailed.

It's literally at the top of last page and announcement itself was made on the page before the last one. What "most last pages".

Would you read dozens of pages of reviews?

This is actually not the providers responsibility but rather forum capabilities or moderation (whichever you prefer).
It's also not the mods task imho either
This is a forum, live with it and know how to get around or you might get disappointed. That's the case here

Either stop the user at the billing page or a use a coupon that expires.

Why? The offer is still valid, the buyer was however mainly looking for the extra special bonus.
Due to forum related problems, actually no one of both is at fault, neither the seller or the buyer.

Since it was clear that the special extra bonus is limited (vaguely but still), I also would've read the last page, or the last order number post I could find, to be clear it is still ongoing

This is imho similar to giveaways where the first N comments receive something for free...

Dozens? All you had to do was check the last few pages. Your argument 'there was no mention of the end of the promotion anywhere in the threads' is also not true :D

Tbh this could have been handled better. What @Dasabo did in the OP was already indicative of this promotion being limited and can expire anytime, so we cannot blame him fully. And at the same time, the buyers cannot be completely blamed just because they didn't read 20+ pages to just check if the provider has stopped the promo.

A proper coupon code with expiry or any provider side limitation or alert in their website could have easily avoided this.

Then again it's a freaking 9 euro/y for a 7950x3d, it's already a great deal even without the extra year promo.

Your order is like 9 posts below the announcement.
