I wanted the MD Series dedicated server because it offers the high-performance specifications crucial for handling demanding tasks like video streaming and hosting.
1) Yes, if you accept the fact these are meant for personal use and 99.999% uptime (no one can offer that) is not a priority, but cost to value ratio.
2) You can manually install it, some people have done it, but from us --> Not yet sorry.

Any progress on auto installs for clients or ipmi at least? I know it’s been years since the panel has been in progress!
We have done some testing with tenantos, and checked what needs to be done so we can get it functioning, just minimal proof of concept level stuff on the backend.
We will probably do the coding and qualification work during Q1, or decide if we do fully inhouse built one which fits exactly our needs.
IPMI will not be implemented ever for MD series -> Those nodes are not capable of that. IP KVM on the other hand, we might do read only eventually, we have built proof of concept hardware for that which is sufficiently inexpensive and high density. We might thus eventually enable users for read only (so they can fix it in rescue mode), and will consider write as well.
