@TomasSystems saw in his Palentir a world where fabled KS-LE-1,2,3,4,5,6 run in the wild, hunted by python bots.

Probably higher end stuff like SYS/Rise
It will be very hard to beat these flash sales I think
Good point…I wonder what they will be based on considering they are low on stock on most parts from these KS servers
bump ... SYS-LE .. i hope more stock
I’m sure @TomasSystems or another wizard will let us know when it’s available on the catalog
I will, I’d either say the 19th (when this one finishes) or they’ll leave a gap and do it the week after.
Oh wow? Are they really running this “flash sale” till the 19th
Appeared to struggle with stock levels on day 1 🤣
I wonder how long before some script kiddie who can't be bothered to open a Python file demands you give immediate support because their VPS says unknown command python.
I think that BF sales - as in previous years - starts on BlackFriday week's Tuesday. So Nov. 26.
Damn the Asian market are heavy in this - the unicorn just got harder to catch
Please pray for my KS-LE-B NVMe in GRA as well. Thanks!
I mean, it's pretty easy to make a bot regarding that we have access to an API... I'll be surprised that people ordered a bunch of servers but cannot write 40 Python lines.
Ordering with the bot ain’t the issue, actually getting a delivered server is the issue. I’m pretty sure it’s 99% luck unless it’s literally first come first serve after payments are validated but I’ve heard stories on discords it depends on the region you ordered from and the server location etc etc
Interesting to see the KS1/2/4 still selling like hot cakes within minutes of being restocked, despite the flash sale offering similar/better value
Perhaps I have an unfair image of the DMCA-ignored (and co) crowd, but i have a feeling you'd be surprised indeed.
has the KS-LE-E 4x2TB HDD been available in GRA at all? does not look much like any restock for the E model coming to light.
while chances are probably near zero - if there is any buyers remorse over the old spinning rust in that combination (KS-LE E with 4x2TB in Gravelines), I'd be interested ;-)
Anyone got their KS-LE-A delivered yet (ordered yesterday)?
Who serious want a config will buy normal editions because they are in stock regularly and delivered.
The flash sale requires notifier or automatic order solutions which is not an option for everyone to spend a lot time with this. And this flash sale is an adventure, who knows that the ordered servers will be delivered or we need to run after the money. Probably will be delivered once but if I want to start a serious project I do not want to start on a random date when OVH delivers my server.
And this price-performance ratio seems to be avesome but if I start a business and get income and outcome money, I think that I can not realise as profit that I spend a couple of hours to try to order special edition servers.
I don't think anyone with business interests would use Kimsufi servers anyway...
Why wouldn’t they?
The reason I am saying this is because I tried so many ways to install windows on a dedicated server from ovh, but it never works. the server doesn't boot up after restarting the server. it never comes back, the only way is to reinstall os from ovh panel.
Heh, support for kimsufi or most expensive server in ovh is the same xD in most situation if problems with server appear the fastest and best solution is just fast buy new server and migrate. I'm OVH customer from over 14 years and I know what I'm saying.
For me it's not worth to pay 3-4-5x more for server per month with similar spec with hope "if problems appear" they will fix them maybe 1-2 hours faster.
What ways have you tried? I installed windows without any issues via IPMI
https://github.com/dockur/windows
Problem solved
The LE-D probably doesn't have IPMI.
I tried over IPMI, I wasn't able to mount iso's because they "don't guarantee".
Also tried using rescue mode, still didn't work, server infinitely reboots. (this was for a old serve with i7 4790k, not the new K-LE-D, which doesn't have IPMI.
Try this: https://nicolas.busseneau.fr/en/blog/2021/07/ovh-soyoustart-install-iso-image
K-LE-C to be play with came with 3x 480 GB SSD
and delivered after 24 H, YABS will follow
Nice. What location/ dc?
