I chatted OVH Support again with regards to my KS-LE-B order in GRA.

"I regret to inform you that due to high demand in November, the ETA for completion of assembly and delivery of your machine is set for November 10th."

Glad that the ETA has changed from far-fetched 2025 to next week. But the inconsistencies in the info is just... mehh. :/

  • It’s OVH support… Every rep will give you different information. Has been like that for ages and especially for promos you shouldn’t count on their word.

You're pretty much constrained by your billing address because the country selector when you create an account only has limited choices. I think for most countries, your choice is (i) the country you live in (so if you're in France, FR, etc) - if there is a region for your country, (ii) World [$] (EN), and if you live in the EU or a dependent territory, (iii) World [€] (EN-IE)

So just try those options in the dropdown top right of the eco servers page, and see what prices come up.

That wasn't the case a while ago.
    Sadly they changed it.

  • As people offer to transfer servers to others, or look for inbound transfers, am I right you do that simply by having the old owner set the contact details for the server to the person new owner? Can that only happen for accounts at the same region?

I still wonder how does this deal work at OVH? I thought they have limited stock of retired servers for this occasion but they seem to be ordering additional 10+ year old parts from eBay for couple bucks or what?

I’d assume breaking down old units or it’s gotta be a stalling tactic to ship it from another DC

I highly doubt they are buying parts for these old servers
