  • Does anyone here have a KS-LE-B already delivered in GRA? 7 hours in and still stuck at “The product is being delivered”.

They should definitely limit promotional products to 1 unit/account.

    Ethical.

It would avoid a large volume of canceled orders overloading the system.

It would prevent errors, so that a bot poorly made by an inexperienced (rusty) person would not place orders repeatedly. (sorry, guys.)

The only negative point is that the "smart" ones would not be able to run ahead and buy in large quantities. Which in the end, is not a negative point. For this specific situation of promotional/marketing products.

I will see which ones will be delivered, which ones will not be here and I will respond to the DM of the people who sent me contact. I have some B and E. Unfortunately I have already requested a refund for some.

If anyone has a KS-A I am also interested, just 1, for my collection ^^'

    Ps: My account is "EU"

That wouldn’t work in OVHs favour, that could and would limit their revenue.

Heads up, the KS-LE-C is deploying with major lotto.....

Some people have had a 64GB Memory and E5-1630 v4, I've just had the correct CPU and 64GB memory turn up.

    Have fun!

    No, please don't make order a KS-LE-C.
    What DC?

    Just speaking facts :)

For refund, you open ticket and full amount is refunded? Or without setup fees?

Can server be tested from rescue mode and then refund? Thanks

Yes I have one, delivered 6 hours or so ago. But I ordered it within minutes of the offer becoming available on the website.

No ones giving you a KS-A sorry to disappoint - People have turned down 200$ to transfer it out FYI

  • @adns said: Check api.ovh.com API Explorer. Create a cart, fetch the public eco catalog, place the planCode of the server into the cart, the server's configurations (dedicated DC, dedicated os and region), and one from every mandatory addons (kimsufi: ram, disk, bandwidth). So finaly you will add four planCodes to a cart item.

I was messing with the API when the KS-LE became available from the website, so I just ordered them from there.

How do you specify the dedicated DC, OS and region ? Is it in the same part than the rest of the api calls ?

Exclusively promotional and marketing items? I don't understand how OVH would lose by limiting it even for a few hours before lifting the restriction and following the standard flow, considering that the same quantity would be sold instead of seconds, a few minutes or a few hours for long contract periods with which they would be maintained.

I'm not referring to regular sales, just these specific events with a targeted audience.

A promotion from a small provider is one thing, the rush, the fun and the excitement and engagement provided on the forum.

On the other hand, what marketing gain is there for the community of a single user, for example, in hypothetically pulling 50, 100 servers at once for corporate use and this not even having repercussions in resale actions and promotions?

Anyway, I'm not disagreeing with you, I just believe it could be plausible. It would still be fun, difficult, it would generate buzz and controversy, but it wouldn't be this boring shark vs sardine situation.

Just curious @Neoon ; you've a script that you won't share, fair enough. We can all GPT something with the hints in this topic and the OVH API documentation. What I do wonder though, how do you test a script on something that is not available to purchase? Just run it and hope for the best?

  • I was hoping to get an KS-LE-B but no stock. So picked up KS-LE-D instead

Test it on a server that is in stock then change the plan codes

Yeah I figured, but then you are spending money on random KS servers to test the script. That's the main reason for me to not participate.

The script has been shared to a few trusted let members.
And as I said before, its open source, since 2 years.

Someone already found it and forked my repo, can't be that hard.

The final api call is checkout which you can just GET for testing. If that returns with a successful status code then you can switch to POST and you are good to go -- no real purchases required.

Unless I'm wrong -- which is probably why my orders are not progressing at all.
