No. Life goes on. That is just a marketing trap which OVH can take away from you at any time.

  • I snagged the KS-A without a b0t, but i was lightning fast refresh.

few here legit using bots to get the servers before other people but ovh didnt care because they make money

They are not making money with these offers.
This is only marketing for geeks

  • I'm looking for a KS-LE-E (4x2;BHS) and a KS-LE-B (2X2; Gravelines) for my CA OVH account. PM if you are able to offer either. TIA

I had it on my cart but obviously wasn't able to check out... and I forgot to increase my script frequency.

    nvm it was @Neoon

Not really, looks like dead in the water again.
I feel sorry for the OVH people that have to refund my KS-A order again, every week.

So you've had several KS-A orders refunded already? Not just one from the first release?

Zero successful orders despite having a bot.
Would be my second refund and it looks like it its gonna be.

Maybe your time is more precious than trying to design bots and take some offer. Maybe just maybe, your time is more valuable than that.

For some of us it's a personal competition to get the best possible deal year on year.
Like the current flash sale which will replace 2+ 'great' deals I got last time around and a $5 64GB i7-6th is gonna be hard to beat for a while.

Once the bot is built it's repeatable year-round with minor tweaks as you go :D

    But is it fair?

    I would say yes.
Nothing prevents you from running your very own bot against the public API.

I have luckily been provided the code for a good bot (not sharing at risk of scalpers) but realistically we all have the same 'chance' we just need to be opportunistic (Much like arriving early at a festival to get front row).

  • Guys, can the server currently be switched between accounts? If so, can I help someone, as I am canceling my duplicate orders and could optionally transfer them to someone else. At the time when there was infrastructure there, no type of transfer between accounts was possible. (probably a long time ago).

The design of the API is unfair, I said this before, as a normal user you can't put things into the cart when they are out of stock.

But with the API, you can do so.
Its already unfair designed and sets you up to loose if you don't have a bot.

Unfair would be to buy 20-50 servers at once, I bought 1x KS-A.

But you asked my viewpoint on quick-buying a Kimsufi box, not a career / life impacting issue - It's not really a comparable comparison.

Either way, on such servers what I do agree on is limiting these to x per customer. For sure.

  • Damn I missed the KS-A restock

  • And my KS-LE-B is not being delivered yet 😭

My bot is not even closed source, so why would you try do buy it?
I don't advertise it on LET for reasons.

Oh, poor you. When robots are in your favor it is fair game, but when they are not in your favor and your employer gets to win it is no longer fair game? Tough luck. Be a man and stand by your words.

    The end is nigh.

Same here. It totally depends on the delivery of servers. I might have some to transfer or I am looking for some transfers

  • For everyone who want to order with API.

Check api.ovh.com API Explorer. Create a cart, fetch the public eco catalog, place the planCode of the server into the cart, the server's configurations (dedicated DC, dedicated os and region), and one from every mandatory addons (kimsufi: ram, disk, bandwidth). So finaly you will add four planCodes to a cart item.

After that validate order, assign to your account and try to checkout.

And first of all, auth with OVH.

Availabilities shown at dedicated section of API. Everything at dedicated order.

When all done, place the order with the checkout and enjoy it.

If you have succes, easy to implement in Python.

    Good luck!
