We can probably do that, but I need to know the budget. Also, what OP mean by "must be need colocation bandwidth."?

Up to this very date, I am still - despite having played the provider role in this country for many-many years - very confused as to why foreigners regard to our country as 'offshore' and/or DMCA ignore. Especially the first of the two. The second, obviously, does not play a role - this is USA legislation, which is not valid in The Netherlands, or in any European country for that matter.

  • Although DMCA is a US law, many countries like NL have their own copyright laws that they have to abide by.

It's probably because the majority of seedboxes are hosted in the Netherlands with public torrent traffic and people associate that with "ignoring DMCA".

    Hi,

Why Netherlands? There are more reliable countries for such things, even if NL still works is not the same before.

    We have Netherlands VPS:

I’ve tried several offshore providers, but most Netherlands-based VPS providers don’t offer good routing for Asia. I’m looking for a provider that can guarantee high-speed bandwidth with optimized routing for Asia. Recently, I used a VPS from a provider who use their network called ColocationX Ltd. (AS208046), which had excellent Asian routing, but due to recent downtime, I’m now seeking a comparable alternative

  • You are probably better off using some russian or ukrainian host that don't care about DMCA.

According to their advertising in various forums the "DMCA ignored" claim of HostSlick seems to depend solely on what kind of forum they post the ad on. Do they actually ignore DMCA tho? Im very certain they do not, but thats only my personal guess.

Here are examples of HostSlick promoting their services as "DMCA ignored". They include threads from the following Forums with some of these threads being started as recent as June 2024. On cracked.io the user and thread author "HostSlick" still bumps the thread, which was created on 08 February, 2020, regularly. Currently the most recent bump is from yesterday (November 8, 2024). The title on there of course still includes "DMCA Ignored" to this day.

Forums where a user "HostSlick" offers "DMCA Ignored" services in their threads:

    • bitcointalk.org
    • breachforums.st
    • cracked.io
    • hackforums.net

@HostSlick Do you have anything to add/comment on besides lying publically again?

BTW (personal opinion): I have nothing against anyone offering DMCA Ignored services. But either you offer a DMCA Ignored service or you do not.
Please dont lie in your potential customers faces and give conflicting Info about your policies - it's very unprofessional and potentially misleads people.
But my personal guess is you couldn't care less about being honest to other people & your customers as long as your company generates enough money for you.

The thread titles also include "Dedicated Servers," but nothing about VPSs.

He has made it clear that he does not take abuse emails about VPSs lightly, while he is more lenient when it comes to dedicated servers. This can also be inferred from the LET thread titles.

It's worth his time to go through emails at over 100$ per month, but not at 25$ per month.

So unless someone decides to dig through his posts on here it is very unlikely that they would know that this is the case. The majority of HostSlick customers would never see that info. Transparency on this topic somewhere on HostSlick's website or at least in the offers in forums would be nice, but that's obviously a thing only he could decide.
Thank you for the info tho.

I always buy my glasses at MrSpex. Usually i can recommend them. Ive got new ones recently but im still sure none of the VPS threads say DMCA Ignored. If so can you point me for correction? Maybe im still blind enough. As without, i can barely See anything

Is there anything you recommend us for making clear better that VPS are not DMCA Ignored and only dedicated Servers are DMCA Ignored?

What about Options/notice at Order/cart so the customer has to agree when ordering a VPS that he can not host anything related to it? Its what i was thinking lately.

You probably sent your answer before my previous message was visible to you, but whatever.

Regarding Question 1 "im still sure none of the VPS threads say DMCA Ignored.":
I believe you and I am also sure of that. I have read a thread where someone asks for DMCA Ignored VPS hosting. You initially answered it with just a link to the VPS section of the HostSlick website and only after other members start questioning that, you are deciding to give a actual helpful answer to the OP of that thread.

Regarding Question 2 "Is there anything you recommend us for making clear better that VPS are not DMCA Ignored and only dedicated Servers are?":

    Edit:
Regarding your idea of a notice at Order/Cart so the customer has to agree when ordering a VPS that he can not host anything related to it I think that would be a good idea. Maybe also in that message link the Dedicated Servers page on the VPS page stating general advantages aside from hardware like even more freedom of hosted content regarding DMCA.
I am not sure if directly mentioning DMCA lenient hosting on your website would be a good idea. But if its possible it would be a good thing for transparency and maybe even good for sales.

Great. - transparency - notice/Options - I will consider to change it. We are completely changing our peoduct Portfolio and the Website needs a overmake. (Its 4 years old now and Shit). Its already on to do list but i am working on many Things to hit The Market and improve for next years. Cant work on everything at once.
I Think it will be good then with new Website.

As we will instruduce anyway by new years 2025 all VPS to have 10Gbit (and many more products and new vps Plans NVME AMD/Intel also) As Standard instead of 1gbit it might be more Important to show they are not DMCA Ignored. As the product metrics might be even more attracting such customers, which would cause alot of abuse.

There is actual reason why vps are Not. And its mainly not Money. The Problem is, its crazy, more and more people will come and it will escalate quickly. I can not handle that.

    Thanked by 2RTB sillycat
