You're probably interested in transit providers rather than which DC.

My experience from Barcelona using Orange is that NTT, Cogent & Lumen all give me around 24ms, which is quite good (All of them go to Paris first and then London).

From a random VPS I have in Porto, Portugal, Cogent is the lowest one with around 32ms (not a direct link. Goes to Bilbao - Paris - London).
From a random VPS I have in Madrid, Spain, NTT is the lowest one with around 21ms (direct link to London).

    Many thanks @zGato

Cause sometimes, I have VPS’s in London that latency it’s ~45ms but others in the same London area ~39ms

This diference it’s really important to my work!

That is why I would like to know what kind of Data Center to look at?

Wich data centers have directly peering with Lisbon and Madrid, from London.

    Massive thanks!

It's probably easier to just ask for test IPs to each provider before committing to it. I have a few VPSs in London, so ping them and if you have any that suits your needs, I can just recommend you that provider.

You can probably get two servers from DataPacket ... The latency between London and Lisboa through their backbone is around 30ms. London - Madrid is around 24ms through Core-Backbone.

According to mtr.tools, it shows Oneprovider 21 ms and Scaleblade @Jack_SBE 22ms to Ginernet in Madrid.

For Lisbon, it seems like Oneprovider is the only one that has consistent latency 27-28ms

We have some good peering for Central Europe and Madrid.

Happy to set you up with a test vm to try it out first. Just reach out if you’re interested.
