    We dive in :D

Everyone's score went down. Fair and fair. Great!

  • When I first bought it I was very happy with it. It took me only 6 minutes to compile azerothcore. Now it takes 13 minutes. Same operation. I don't understand what the problem is?

Are its CPU and memory oversold?
I once bought a VPS from a company that sold virtual memory as memory.

  • @hkbbdx said: Are its CPU and memory oversold?

Don't see any signs of any massive overselling, cpu steal is still 0, ram 5GBps, on the low'ish side.

Okay! Let’s wait until it’s stable before considering annual payments.

    Thank you very much!
    Happy Halloween!

    Hello,

I have checked the node your KVM server is on. This is running at 19-24% CPU load on the entire node. The node is not oversold. Unfortunately it is the assembled cryptominer customers. We are currently working on removing them. It is currently a holiday in Germany and our employees are at home. But we will take care of it.

Of course, you can't quite compare the performance when there were almost no customers on a node to now. Of course the performance will be a little less once all customers are on and have their workload.

If you want to have a full CPU just for yourself, you need a dedicated server.

I have already asked you before about the possibility of buying one server from you. If you have free places after detecting violations from unscrupulous users, give those in need the opportunity to buy these servers at the price that was here before. If it is not too much trouble, give me the opportunity to buy one server from you Rootserver Holo if it is possible, write me a private message.

@FameSystems possible to boost a (my) vps to permanent 3.1 GHz ;)

my youthful recklessness led me to assume that a bergamo epyc generally has more power than a genoa epyc. but you can't say that in general, can you?

That depends on base/turbo frequencies, overall usage of the host node, CPU cache, memory speed, whether your usecase uses some new CPU extensions (though these two CPUs seem to have no differences there), whether your usecase can actually use multiple cores, cooling of the server and most likely some/many other factors.

Imagine tagging so many people just to show everyone you don't know second digit in EPYC model number is just a number of cores.

Our VPS uses AMD EPYC 9754 processors with Precision Boost. This feature allows the CPU to temporarily increase its speed (up to 3.1 GHz) during high-demand tasks, adjusting automatically based on workload, temperature, and power conditions.

While the CPU can boost when needed, it’s designed to return to a stable base frequency during lighter tasks. This helps maintain efficiency and system stability.

So, while a permanent 3.1 GHz setting isn’t possible, the CPU will boost as needed to handle high workloads smoothly.

i thought that geekbench 6 hammers to cpu to 3.1GHz during testing. (dont get me wrong, i like the vps at all. stable so far lots of space and ram.)

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and would like to clarify a few points to address any misunderstandings.

When you informed us through the ticket system about the IP issue, we resolved the problem within less than 24 hours. As a goodwill gesture, we also added several additional days to your service period at no extra charge.

Regarding the account suspension, please note that our system automatically triggered a temporary lock for security reasons due to over 21 login attempts using a VPN/proxy in the web interface. After reviewing your case, the account was reactivated within 60 minutes, allowing you to resume access promptly. Additionally, we would like to clarify that your statement “no reason” is inaccurate, as you had already indicated in the ticket that you suspected the issue was related to multiple VPN logins.

We encourage you to reach out to us directly via the ticket system for issues like this so we can address your concerns efficiently.

Hm is it 21 logins overall or 21 logins in some short period of time with different IPs or something?
I think everyone and their mom are using a vpn today so everyone will hit this limit sooner or later?
