    1panel.cn i like this

    Any english version/website?

  • Have English

  • cPanel because I hate headaches

  • I've tried so many free hosting panels over the years. Nothing beats Plesk, or when you have a limited budget I'd say use DirectAdmin. If I have to pick a free cp it would be Hestia, but I would also complain the entire time using it.

  • I like KeyHelp so far! Do any of the more well known free panels have docker integration? Plesk does, but it's not free.

  • My personal favorite is Pterodactyl hands down!

Pterodactyl for game server & bot hosting, and CyberPanel for websites. Can recommend Pelican as a Pterodactyl alternative, but it's still in beta.

    Meh,

  • what's the benefits of a control panel?

I am still doing everything in old way.

  • Why "meh"?
Have you tried the new Kloxo, i.e. KloxoNG?

  • @itachikonoha said: I am still doing everything in old way.

You want to say LAMP ?

    Not only that.

Web server, firewall, subdomains, ssl, database, cron..... I tried I think vistapanel (name could be wrong) but i found it more irritating than actually helpful.

  • A nice question would be which free control pannel you can use in your production .

    Cloudpanel.io

CloudPanel has been built in an insecure way.

When you make changes in the panel, it updates the server and then writes those changes in the database.

If you make changes in the panel while the server is under stress (e.g., during a DDoS attack), it may apply some of the changes before timing out after X seconds. This can result in a situation where security settings or firewall rules are disabled, but the panel still displays them as active.

Other panels (e.g., ISPConfig) handle this more securely. They create a "job" entry in the database, which a cron job then runs to apply server settings. Another cron job verifies that the changes have been successfully applied.

  • My favorite free control panel has to be Webmin. It gives me lots of control over server management without needing deep technical skills.

If it is just for testing or personal use, I usually go with Fastpanel. Surprisingly nice panel, started using it a few years ago and never looked back.

Hestia would be my first choice if they could just get ipv6 support. It's 2024 for f*cks sake!

I've tried Kloxo-MR before and the codes doesn't change much on those so called "New Generation"

  • Maybe off-topic, but is it possible to upload complete directories in HestiaCP? I've thus far only been able to create new directories and drop the contents from, say, my desktop into them.

zip your directories, upload it as a single file. Once uploaded, right click then select unzip.
