how to reinstall a different OS on the VPS?
I could not find that option on the control panel.

Also, is there a option for VNC from control panel?

    What is your invoice number?

  • @dev_vps said: This GB5 score indicates oversold VPS

Lowered performance in gb is not an indicator of overselling by itself. Might be noisy neighbours. You have to at least do some sysbench and avg cpu steal measurements. I understand that you've made quite a reasonable assumption and these cheap vps are all oversold, but statement about gb5 numbers indicating something is wrong.

HostBrr is getting 2300 gb6 (out of ~3400 expected) on 1c 9590X on VDS - refer to their post in YABS topic. No one is accusing them of overselling VDS just based on gb numbers.

This GB5 score is for 4x cpu vCores and look at multi core score.

And I checked the specification for the storage , @caasify , it is shown as SSD, so it is not HDD as you assumed in your earlier post.

Why do your server prices keep increasing?

A week ago there were servers for 5.06 euros, when I checked a few days ago they were up to like 5.16 euros, and today those same servers are 5.26 euros.

    Two questions -

    • How to install Debian 11 or 12 on SpotVMs?

  • @dev_vps said: This GB5 score is for 4x cpu vCores and look at multi core score.

Yeah, that is not an indicator of overselling by itself. Of course it's low and again, of course it's reasonable to deduce these small boxes are oversold. But most of the time low mc score is just a sign of system experiencing high load. We can talk about overselling when there is cpu steal or when pure CPU marks e.g. sysbench are showing results lower than a theoretical one for that same cpu or can't allocate your cores, e.g. are able to pull only 270% load on 4 cores.

Thank you for your clear explanation. The service is not oversold; the CPU frequency is limited to 2GHZ because some clients utilize the VM for mining purposes due to low cost.

We operate as a marketplace, and some data centers might not offer all templates. If you need a specific OS, you may need to switch data centers.
You have to remove your existing VM and order a new one. We are working on a new update that will allow you to change your operating system more easily in the future.

  • How do you switch between hourly and monthly billing?

There only appears to be hourly billing, and that works out to 11 - 15% more expensive than the monthly prices displayed on your site.

    Spot 2 Core - 1.00 Monthly / 0.0015 Hourly - 0.0015 * 24 * 31 = 1.116€/month

    Sweden 2 Core - 5.63 Monthly / 0.0088 Hourly - 0.0088 * 24 * 31 = 6.55€/month

Even for the shortest month with only 28 days, it still works out to 5.91€ instead of 5.63€.

We do provide the latest Debian, but the situation in the marketplace varies by provider. If you seek a specific configuration, it's essential to choose the right provider.

My calculations covered the only possible extreme cases: 28 days minimum - 31 days maximum.

The standards most commonly used are 730 hours (365 days per year divided by 12 months x 24 hours), and 672 hours (28 days x 24 hours).

I've never heard of any provider using anything less than 672 hours for a month.

Not sure how you could call 26.6 days "monthly", since there are no months with less than 28 days. That means you always pay for less than a month and pay for the remainder of the month in your next billing cycle, every month.

Is there no backup available like KVM to get access to vps console if network is not available?
In control-panel, there are only available start, stop, reboot, delete and rebuild.

Hi, the console is available on some providers. Some other providers will be ready soon.
The backup will also be available in the near future.
