Cloudflare magic transit server Host

Hi, does anybody know of any server hosts that provide cloudflare magic transit DDoS protection for their VPS/Dedicated servers? Perhaps any that use cloudflare magic transit along with some in house filters?

I’m struggling to find any, and the ones I have found are dreadfully far away from me resulting in terrible ping.

the location of the servers must be in the UK, Germany, France, Amsterdam, etc to avoid this.

Thanks in advanced.

I managed to find one (and ONLY one) and that is bbhost (https://bbhost.com.br), however it is located in Brazil hence the ping issue.

We haven't had it for many years.

It's not a cheap product. At the time we talked to them they were trying to get $50 - $100/mbit of clean. Not sure if they've moved up or down from there.

bloom.host has it for some of their locations.

They do not (anymore) — thanks though!

Have you already gained experience with cloudflare magic transit or how come you are looking for providers with exactly that ddos protection?

I saw the post on how they protected against those 2.8Tbps attacks and ever since I’ve been interested haha.

The plan for what I would use it for is just a simple Linux VPS that runs a wireguard VPN.

Sounds a bit overkill - I think Datapacket with DDoS protection option will cover you (if you are targeted with DDoSes at all)

Is there a particular reason you need a VPN with a 3Tbps DDoS protection?

I assume Cloudflare is primarily targeting large enterprise customers with this rather than VPS hosting companies, especially given their pricing.

The question is why wouldn’t you want the best DDoS protection?

Anything can go wrong these days

    Yeah no…

Datapacket is mostly for volumetric stuff

    I currently use path.net’s protection.

I asked cloudflare Sales few years back. They wanted 10k+ per month for a 10gbit Unmetered Transit Port in Amsterdam.
Yet to say 10gbit is not that much....

So unlike you are willing to pay real numbers, Not Just some VPS, it will be hard to find such Providers. If they even exist.

Perhaps their pricing has gone down since then?

A lot has changed in the past few years.

    I really doubt that.

Should you find some, im interested to hear though

  • Unnecessary bump.

is path not holding up for you?

    Price? 😅

You can easily pile security measures but budget is often below infinite. Plus, there is a point of diminishing returns.

For example, you could also hire a soc team monitoring your VPS 24/7. That would certainly raise your protection level.

If you are only using it for VPN, I don't think you need DDoS protection, even. First, you have no need to keep that site up,and it's very unlikely anyone tries to bring you down. Even then, it'd be far cheaper for you to buy another VPS (or even have it on-hold), than adding this costly anti-DDoS service.

  • if you want ddos protection , you can talk my friend on telegram. My friend has a protection l4 and l7 like gambling end online game etc
