Looking for remote Layer 7 DDOS Protection

Hello, I am looking for remote DDoS protection for Layer 7 DDoS attacks for a streaming server. Please contact me if you are:
1. A hosting provider that offers dedicated servers/VPS with guaranteed bandwidth of 1-2 Gbps and the ability to mitigate any Layer 7 attack.
2. A provider selling a remote DDoS protection product.
3. Someone who has experienced such DDoS attacks and is interested in helping me for a fee. (Ubuntu, Nginx Server).

Thank you!

Are you looking for a remote protection commit? If so how much bandwidth do you intend to use and whats the contract length you'd want to commit to?

If the person who set it up does it properly, then yes, it's basically impossible.

    • Setup your web server on IPv6 only.
    • Whitelilst connections to only Cloudflare subnets on your web server.
    • Use SNI

I guarantee you're not finding someone's 'real IP' behind Cloudflare if it's setup like that.

From this comment of yours I understand that you don't really know how Cloudflare works, if you know how to set it up right even if you can find the IP behind the service you won't be able to attack it.

I did offer him help, I told him to use Cloudflare. We don't offer a layer 7 protection product, I have nothing to sell him.

Yea i agree with you but he is looking for a server. nvm :)

Was just trolling, since almost no one sets up Cloudflare correctly and its super easy to get the real IP behind it.

But if he wants L7 HTTP(S) with a reverse proxy I only know of cloudflare, blazingfast and basedflare (could be self-hosted)

If the attacks aren't L7 you can go with anyone, but L7 attacks on HTTP(S) are just impossible to deal with without a reverse proxy and there aren't many out there that offer that kind of service.

There are 2 russian providers but I don't know what regions and restrictions OP has.

I understand you're not a fan of Cloudflare, but it remains a robust solution. You can configure your server to allow traffic only from Cloudflare IPs, which ensures protection even if your real server IP is exposed.

Alternatively, you could explore OpenResty combined with a Lua module, such as this one: https://github.com/C0nw0nk/Nginx-Lua-Anti-DDoS. I used this method when Cloudflare experienced leaks, and it worked effectively. I believe @Francisco also utilizes it.

I cant agree with you even if you configure CF there are still applications that needs IP to be Exposed in order to work. I know what yall are talking about but this works only on static sites most of the times. For me Path worked good when i needed the Layer 7 but im not using anymore.

Our DDoS protection includes balooproxy yes, but it's not just balooproxy. There are ratelimits / useragent checks and much more. However, all these things are not public for a given reason.

All the necessary information can be found on our website: https://packets-decreaser.net/layer7-proxy

And if you want to test the whole product, we offer a multi-day trial. This is of course free of charge

  • I don't know why people don't recommend these but they are the best
