Evohost hosting trying to redeem

Note the only association I have with them is being a customer.

Snippet

Additionally, we are looking to regain the trust of the lowendtalk.com community. Anyone willing to contribute with tests and feedback can take advantage of free VPS to run any kind of trial. A minimum knowledge of forums is required, and we encourage you to share the post to involve as many users as possible.

Currently only downtime I had was one minute of no internet (maybe DDoS?) and at some point a bunch of people (including me) VPS was randomly getting suspended. No other downtimes since I got the VPS.
CPU steal pic.

Uptime.

What do you all think? Will you try them again or still avoid? Yes they broke LET rules and got tags revoked and are banned, but they do seem to trying to make things right. @EvosHosting for reference.

CPU steal is 2% max on that graph. It is also a VPS, not VDS. Granted, I also don't know what would be acceptable CPU steal.

Your VPS was idle so it's absolutely impossible to draw any conclusions from it.
It's usually a bad sign to detect CPU steal on a machine that does almost nothing.

Machine is hosting an server/API for tuberepair. Otherwise I just have data backed up to it. graph doesn't seem to show apt update and apt upgrade oddly. I somehow don't believe apt upgrade over 40 packages didn't cause above 4% cpu usage a few days ago.

All my VPS with shared cpu do not have steal if idle at the expection of a server I bought from another Italian chicken seller. :)

In any case, your server has no load, so if you're happy with performance and uptime, that's all that matters.
The market is saturated and I find there are more competent people selling better products for not much more money.

Ahh, thank you for the insight. Didn't know CPU steal is less constance with less CPU load. VPS I got mainly for the 4tb if storage for good price.

I don't have the link but I can tell you the main reason I remember, they kept overselling even though they had big performance & downtime issues, LowEndTalk staff told them to stop selling until the problems were over, and they agreed but instead of doing so they continued to sell "under the table" and got banned, this is what I remember (of course I also remember the dozens of lies they said like "everything will be solved tomorrow" for weeks).

you really searched the forum for evoshosting just to post a yabs? you are clearly affiliated with them

if evoshosting wants to rectify their position in LET they can start by getting their account unbanned. nobody should do business with a company the forum admins themselves banned precisely to protect members from their bs

On this I can partially agree with you
The reason for the ban was that even with the suspended seller tag he contacted some people looking for dedicated servers,
For the problems of downtime etc. they confirmed this through this: https://t.me/EvosHosting2024/56

At the moment I'm doing well, if I don't have any problems I'll be the first to let you know :)
no one is paying me and I am free to say what I think :p
