    I don't get it. Why are people so enthusiastic about some iPad? It is just a worthless iPad. It is not a mini computer like a Raspberry Pi or some mini server which can be used for programming and all sorts of automation.

    Sometimes I think we might have too many teenagers around here.

    I usually watch movie/series on my iPad Air & most anticipated movies on my desktop (27" 4K Monitor). I use iPad so that I can watch from bed. Mobile screen feels a bit small now.

    Maybe one could install Linux on it (see https://ipadlinux.org, https://konradybcio.pl/linuxona7). If one can disable the display, it could work as a server (if one disregards the price), it even has a built-in USV (the battery).
    (I completely agree with you though.)

    Check the price of iPad.
    Check the price of RPi.

    Do the math on how many RPis you can buy if you sell your iPad.
