    Memory can't be oversold. It's KVM virtualization, RAM is dedicated to the VPS.

    Since you got the bonus, if you need more RAM, you can upgrade only your RAM anytime with the same low prices as the offer.

    You're probably including cache.

    That could be the reason. Using the command free -m you can see how much of your RAM is linux caching and how much you're really using / need.

    Definitely, the update process has started along with expansion of 3 more nodes. This cluster was left behind, but the housekeeping has started.

    probably some OVZ still running there... :D

    Proxmox latest version is 8.2; that version 4.4 was released in 2016 and support ended in June 2018. Basically at MassiveGRID there is no security support for more than 6 years.

    This is one brave low-end provider living on the edge.

    We had to take some security precautions due to this cluster being left behind.

    As mentioned in previous post the update process has already started along with expanding it with 3 more nodes.

    I don’t even think memory ballooning is possible without that being visible on the guest node as it requires stuff running on the guest. Upload a custom ISO if you’re scared of it.

    Memory ballooning (KVM only) allows you to have your guest 
dynamically change it’s memory usage by evicting unused memory during run time. It reduces the impact 
your guest can have on memory usage of your host by giving up unused memory back to the host.

    Therefore, the statement that memory can not be oversold just because of KVM virtualization is factually incorrect.
