    Not yet, we have some ideas for each customer to be able to increase it - for now, you can open a support ticket and we can increase it if needed.

    We'll also release our VDS offers with increased IOPS (and dedicated CPU resources). You can upgrade to a VDS then and pay only for the difference.

    Sure you can find use cases like 10 million rows from a file based sql db where higher iops are much more desirable. Though postgres already worked on spinning rust, so it's a lot of assumptions instead of real proof ;-)

    As wrote in the other thread, it's a bet. Performance wise you should expect something worth less than a dollar a month, 1k iops fit that bill quite good.

    Check out what @zGato posted, the limits are both for IOPS and throughput, so that is why you see less on the higher block sizes. If that is what you were wondering about :)
